Dark ring/refresh hairpin farming

As usual, I’ve spent a shit ton of time AFK. But this week I did log in for a while, and decided to attempt to farm up my Refresh hairpin and some nice augmented dark rings. I spent 10 hours working at it on Tuesday, and ended up with 11 dark rings, a ton of shitty shields and no refresh hairpin. The augments on the dark rings weren’t anything impressive. I’ve been working with a 4%MDT, 3%PDT ring for a while, and decided to keep a ring with the same stats on it, but with an added Breath Damage taken-%. Little upgrade, but lots of gil. Went out and worked on it again last night, and actually saw some 6% rings, which was surprising to me. Took the time to put together my drops on screenshots. Take a gander. (that’s how bored I am at work)

PW shit is on the backburner, although we could probably burn through 90% of the work in one night if we spent time getting zeni.. oh well

As usual, this doesn’t get updated that often. I took a 1.5month break from the game, due to not having reliable internet/not wanting to sit at home, but I’m back now. Been playing for 3 nights now, and I missed this game. The last 3 days, I forgot to take screenshots, so there may not be a lot of those…

Before my break, our small group was working on our Emperyan weapons. Both Zerayla and I were extremely close to finishing… Well not finishing, but at least to the point to where we would have the emperyan weaponskill. Well, my first night back was shortly after the servers got turned back on after they were shut off, and we finished my Fudo that night.

We got lucky, and for a while we were unchallenged at Heqet, so we were able to get the KI’s we needed. We quickly popped the NM, and I got my lanterns! FUDO HERE I CUM.

So I went to turn my Masamune in, and received Tachi: Fudo, FINALLY. Obviously, we needed to go play with it, so I got on SAM, and Carste followed me out to Abyssea –Misareaux to test it. With RR/VV/Apoc atma’s I was hitting Fudo anywhere from 1.3k to 3.6k. I’m willing to bet I can get consistent 4k’s with a little work on gear and other things. Best part is, Fudo -> Fudo closes my own light skillchain! Many thanks to everyone who helped with this!! Now we just need to finish Zerayla’s!

Carste and I have been working on getting WHM up to par on Buckmule. He’s finally in the 80’s, and has gear. Last night I got him a Augur’s Jaseran for his WHM, and unlocked Scholar on him, so we can work on that for his subjob. I haven’t started leveling it yet, but I’m hoping that with the new update for EXP at lower levels, it won’t be the terrible grind that 1-20 used to be. Also, having another character which can PL will make shit easier. We also need to work on Buck’s cure staff, and I need to get him some solid macros, but we’re working on that.

Working steadily towards being able to fight Dynamis Lord in Dynamis – Xarcabard, and almost there! My 2^nd night back into the game, I was able to get Buck into a Dynamis- Beauc run, for the win he needed. I brought him to it on WHM, and I joined for the fun on SAMfudo. I’m fairly sure that the entire shell I was in (Utterchaos) /blisted me, because I was /l Fudooooooooooo spamming all night long.

Good news on that though, is that Fudo has constant numbers outside abyssea. If I remember correctly, the lowest Fudo was 1150~, with the highest being 3000~. Dynamis Lord’s gonna eat my big purple swordpenis. (Thanks to Soulstar for getting me into that run!)

TheBrotherhood has more or less decided to farm a Pandemonium Warden popset, for the sole purpose of wiping for the lol’s. I think this is a great idea, and I’m all for it! I’m not entirely sure that the gear he offers is even relevant anymore… but the Atma we would potentially get for beating him would be nice to have… if we actually thought we would win, lol.

As of this Tuesday, we’re planning on winning the Pandemonium Warden fight. It was decided that it’s too much work to get the popset, and not plan for a win (plus, planning big fights is fun!). However, not only are we committing to actually farming a popset, we’re going to have to commit to beefing up our members so we have a fighting chance. That means getting my 5hit masamune setup up and running. That requires I put some serious work into getting my Rose Strap and my Sam body +2.

We did a few Ulhuadshi pops in order to finish off Zerayla’s DRG Emperyan Weapon! That makes 3 Emperyan weapons for our crew now!! Sexy. Also, got a handful of +2 upgrade items in the process.

Carste and I compeleted up to floor 90 on my Nyzul assaults, even getting through 10 floors on a single tag! Just 10 more to go, and then I can unlock Tachi: Rani, and maybe even the WHM weaponskill, just for fun.

We even did a boss floor, which we destroyed. The boss was dead so fast I didn’t get to take a screenshot.

Carste and I dragged Buckfag out to Valley of Sorrows on his not-30 SCH to get him up to 30 so we could drag him into Abyssea.

Ever since SE unlocked the once-a-day FOV fights, this makes leveling jobs faster. He and I got Buck a few levels before we called it a night. The next day, apparently Carste was bored, because he spent 4 hours finishing Buck’s level 30 SCH, so it was Abyssea ready.
We spent 2 hours the next day in Abyssea doing Dominion Ops on Buck so he could get up to 49, and we even got a few KI’s from gold chests while we were at it. All Buck has left to do, is to finish off his cure staff and hit level 90! We’re still planning on WHMing him for Dynamis Lord, and probably for PW also.

Last night, Aimie and I (and later, Anderoc) got together to burn a few Ningishzida pops, hoping for SAM seals for me, and WHM seals for Aimie. As usual, this guy tends to be a fucking pain in the ass with his Serpentine Tail. We went with Xean on NIN tank this time, which turned out better than MNK tanking. Although, we did nearly wipe once. Anderoc was able to come assist us with procing Red and Green! We ended up being able to snag the KI for all 4 pops we did, so now we have 4 Alfard pops, which I’m looking forward to doing. Luckily, Aimie ended the night with 9/10 WHM seals, however, no SAM seals dropped for me. Aimie says she has a VNM pop we can do in order to farm those for me, so hopefully we’re going to do that soon!

After the Ningishzida pops, Zerayla AFK’d and I took up the task of farming up some Zeni and Jettons for the upcoming ZNM fights we’ll be needing. I ended the night with 2.5k Zeni, which isn’t a lot, but there isn’t a lot I can do when the mob needed is “Bat flocks”. I went to Abyssea Vunkerl and netted about 66 Zeni for each plate.

Jesus, I should really post this before it gets any larger...

We did some Lacovie pops, and got Goading Belts for those of us who needed them. (finally) That same night I also got my SAM neck piece, which is needed for my 5 hit Masamune setup. As of now, the only piece I’m missing is the Rose Strap, which I could get away with not having for PW if I use Store TP food, but I’m still going to work on getting it.

Friday ended up being really productive. Athoz, Zerayla and I (and the mules) started off the night by popping ZNM’s on the Sarameya path. We started with Brass Borer, and killed him with no problems. We quickly traded it in for an Anataboga pop, and we killed that also.

So now we have a tier 3 pop for Sarameya, but we’re hoping we won’t need it. After the Anataboga pop, we popped a Chigoe, which died surprisingly fast. I remember that little fuck being a bouncing pain in the ass sometimes, but he went down in under 5 seconds. Fudo -> Fudo -> Light = lol

After the Chigoe, we traded it in for a Verdelet pop, and we killed that also.

ZNM’s are easy now, but PW will probably still be a pain in the ass.

I spent my Saturday farming Zeni on Buckeyespud and myself, preparing for the tier 3 and 4’s. Luckily on Sunday Sanraku wanted Dragons, and the Dhaks in Mount Zylm did nicely, and we got 99’s for a few hours.

Sunday, Carste and I decided to farm some BLM body seals, and we failed miserably, so we won’t talk about that.

We also decided to finish off my floor 100 Nyzul missions. We entered, attempting to go 10 floors on 1 tag from 90-100, but timed out at floor 99. We went again, and this time, succeeded. We later went back to Floor 20, with hopes of getting myself Askar feet for my MDT/PDT set. We went 1/1 on them! Need to update macros, ughughugh.

After the Nyzul run, we went out to finish off Buck’s current Cure staff trial. It took about a hour for wind weather to hit, and we had been holding a handful of spiders at 5% with sleepga and evasion thf.

After the weather hit, and buck’s staff trial was finished, we decided to enter Nyzul again, for muiltple purposes. 1. Buck’s staff trial needed kills in light weather. 2. I still needed Goliard pants for my mage PDT set. We breezed through the 5 floors necessary, and quickly killed the boss. Behold: GOLIARD PANTS. 2/2 on gear in one day. Unbelievable.

Update time!! I’m not 100% sure on what we’ve been killing, or doing.. Considering most of it takes place around midnight, and I’m not the night-owl I used to be, so all I pay attention to is: Yellow HP, cure 5… Red HP, Cure 6.. “haste me nigger”. This is mostly due to the fact that my girlfriend is home from college, so the only playtime I get is while she’s sleeping. Not too many screenshots have been taken in the last 20 days, most because every time we fight something worth mentioning, I can’t take my fingers off the cure macro’s to hit screenshot.

I’ve been progressing towards my Masamune in bursts. I’ve finally gotten out of the “wait x hours for spawn” NM’s and am now on the VNM’s. Specifically Urd -> Lamprey Lord. Carste and Zerayla are still hours and hours ahead of me in their weapons, but I’m working on mine every chance I get… also having less play time is a disadvantage, but I’m just glad to be out of the timer spawn NM cycle. Not looking forward to Chesma though.

We finally got all the wins in Abyssea we needed to be able to infuse 3 atma instead of 2. I’m still not sure what to equip for my 3rd one. The refresh +10 from MM is usually more than enough to cover almost everything we do… an extra MND atma would go to waste since I’m nearly 100% capped on MND most of the time.. Obviously the correct choice is to get a MAB atma for my Holy spam.

We did our Proto-Omega with Buckeyespud, and only got feet. Successfully 5manned it, and could have just as easily 4manned it, or trio’d with difficulty. I’m glad we were able to give buck-o a nice send off into the realm of faggotry known as FFXI-2. We’ll be doing more Limbus soon I imagine. People still need things from there and it’s fun!

Some Misareaux action, farming some leg seals that people still needed.

Some old friends, Drimergirl and Soulstar have returned to the game, although I don’t think we’ll be seeing much of them. They’ve decided to start their own linkshell for their RL friends, who many of our members don’t exactly get along with. It’s probably for the best, and I wish them well. They have a LOT to get caught up on.

After weeks of me telling Carste that killing Jailer of Prudence could be done easily, we 4manned it. We could have probably Trio’d it, NIN, WHM, Something else. We had a few stupid deaths from the non-essential members, so it could probably be duo’d. Was so easy, we did it twice.

6manned Jailer of Love like some noobs. Although, full drops!! Novio for Carste, Novia for me, Torque to Carste.(that reminds me that I haven’t traded in my Novia.. that’s really going to fuck over my enmity + build for WHM,(an afterthought, I’ve been considering an evasion build for my SAM, and this is an excellent addition)) However we did wipe to AV. Fucking noobs, I can’t believe I play with these people.

Topler fucked us over quite a bit by being 5-6 seconds late on Thundaga III every time JOL spawned pets. I do have to say that Enmity Douse is an amazing JA, and makes this fight cake.

We’re going to be leveling WHM and BRD on Buck, and getting rid of all his shit garbage on his account. First up will be WHM, he needs 2 levels on it to be able to leech in Abyssea, so we’ll spam some Emperor Rings on him and probably find some way to get a party on him.. That’s going to be quite a lot of gil for spells now that I think about it. Thankfully, he won’t need much gear to be a decent WHM.. We won’t get him to ODF’s standard, but as long as his Cure 5 isn’t 700 HP, we’ll be happy.

(Carste needs to level WHM too, because LolRDM can’t mainheal abyssea with Cure4)

We spent the other night in Abyssea – LaTheine spamming Onvi. We got the Atma, and Abyssite for those who needed it, and spammed it until all applicable people had their Augur’s Jaseran. (: I wasn’t actually planning on helping with this fight, but when I heard Vepion and Zerayla were going to attempt to duo it, I recruited Athoz (And buckfag) and we went out to kill it. It probably could have been duo’d, but they would have had to kill it a lot more than we did with our full pt of people to get the drops they were wanting.

Got my first looks at the Hero’s areas. (yes, I bought the expansion) They’re cool, and we have too much shit to do in them to mention here. Lots of farming coming up, and lots of hours spent slamming our heads against the same NM’s.

So, since I got the expansion, we fought Shinryu. This is by-far the coolest battlefield in the game. He’s kinda a pain in the ass, until you brew him. Got some sweet drops, as you can see. I loot-whored the drops and stole the cape and torque. Hellllo 5% PDT/MDT! Very nice. Oh yeah, now we have access to 200k brews.. which means we’ll be curor farming, and at the same time, leeching Buck-o on WHM, so I can fulltime SAM. I’d love to get Twilight Mail for my SAM. The Acc+ will help on all my STR pieces with ACC-245135234 on them.

I’ve been doing Campaign (lol) lately when there’s nothing else to do. Still need my Rose Strap for my 5hit build. I’m working on slowly building up my SAM stuff while working on Masamune. Need 4-5 more Balance Jewel’s still, but we’ll get those once we need to spam Criein-crion for my lanterns.

Also, getting these pants would make me super happy and would actually free up 2(maybe 3) inventory!

Our first month of Freedom!!

So I’ve been planning on writing up this post for the better part of a week, but kept forgetting to bring my laptop in to upload screenshots. Which, by the way, is a pain in the ass to upload on my office computer. Every time I upload and place a screenshot, I have to refresh the page and open post and do another one. It takes for fucking ever, so I hope you enjoy, dickfags.

I was in a party last night when Peetie told me he was reading my blog, so this one’s for you, from the BLM who pulls too many frogs.

Not sure where to start this one.. Every time I write these I have to go back and see what I’ve covered in the last post, so I’ll do that now. Oh, this is the first post since we left AP… So much for the “expect more updates”. I’ll blame that one on the holidays!

I’ll take a second to say that Buckeyespud is probably quitting FFXI for good, and that Carste and I will be taking over on him from now on. He’s doing one last run with us tonight, 4manning Proto-Omega. (I’ll hopefully be able to take plenty of screenshots of this) Carste has pretty well succeeded in pimping out Buck’s THF so it’s useable wherever, building an evasion set, tp and ws. We’re going to be getting his BRD unlocked soon, as well as getting him Evisceration.. Might even level his WHM! We’ve upgraded his inventory to the 80 slots

Carste and I finally finished our Indra Staff’s.. except I’m not a high enough level BLM to equip it yet, so I’m stuck at the +1 phase until BLM90.

We’ve been spamming Sobek for the item’s for Carste’s weapon, and for upgrade items for Aimie and myself.

We’ve recently begun working in abyssea la’theine farming Carabosse and Briareus for the Empyean upgrade items. I’ve been getting sorta fucked on the number of Carabosse gem’s that are dropping. I’m hoping we can get claim on Ovni while we’re in this zone. I’d really enjoy getting the MND+13 body piece… And we can try to proc the abyssite for whoever else is tagging along with us, which grants an additional 3minutes for each Traverser stone..

Big goals, also, big inventory dump. :/ I’ve started working on the annoying NM trials. I breezed through trial 644 in Giddeus, and I think I’ve gotten 2/3 kills for the Nm in Buburimu Peninsula. I’m wanting to get up to the part where I start handing in the drops for NM’s so I can hopefully not get full inventory and not be able to do shit. (Incoming: Sell/drop your shit you don’t use; ect.)

Stole Buckeyespud’s THF a week ago to try and farm some organs so we could finally get our gorget’s.. killed quite a few things, but ended up with very little results.

Got BLM to 90 last night. It was a pain in the ass. I got invited to an abyssea pt in La’Theine that had apparently been going a while, and the leader was permafk, so rather than waste my time by warping out and looking for another invite, I took over lead and got shit rollin. I started pulling on BLM, and let me say, it’s actually kinda fun with Manawall. It was pretty important that I got 90 last night. I’ve finished my final Indra’s staff trial, but couldn’t use it until 90. Definitely necessary for Omega tonight, I just wish I had my Ice staff trials done also. I’ve gotten some upgrades for my BLM. Searing Sash, Witchstone, Goetia Chain.… I’m considering getting some better INT+ ring, because the Sorcerer’s Ring inside abyssea is terrible, because you nearly need to be at red HP for it to active..

We’ll be doing a Dynamis Xarcabard run, lowman style to kill Dynamis Lord. I wonder how far along we’ll be with our Empyrean weapons when it’s time to do this. I’m also wondering if I should drop my other GK’s that I’ve been doing trials on..

I’ve been toying with the idea of Zeni farming again, and hopefully getting a Pandemonium Warden pop, and trying to figure a way to kill it with as few people as possible.. but on top of everything else we’re doing right now, I think I’ll work on this the least.. Especially since I think having a few players with upgraded Empyrean weapons would help on that fight quite a bit!

Carste burned through the last few missions of COP for Buckeyespud, and we gathered a little firepower for the last fight and… short of me getting Cometed and dying, it went rather well.

I haven’t bought Hero’s yet. Been kinda crunched for cash, plus, it’s an excellent excuse to make sure we have all of our older content finished before moving onto the new stuff. Stuff like upgrading feet, legs and head pieces for our friends and ourselves (or even getting those pieces. The only +1/2 pieces I have are SAM Head/legs, BLM legs, WHM legs/feet..) Still want to finish off my sets.

It seems that we have an overwhelming amount of work ahead of us… And sadly, we have so little time to do it in.. and on top of everything else, we need to get ourselves Shin access so we can get twilight gear. Ughhhhhhhh. But most importantly our friend’s are having fun with us around again.

Carste and I have basically become the biggest-dick-ballers possible. Let me explain.

As of last night, Carste and I have decided to take a super extended break from the AbsolutePerfection endgame linkshell that we've been a part of for the past numerous months. We're coming back to TheBrotherhood. (Thats right falkfag, time to serverswap home.) We've neglected our friends long enough, and we've got the tools to get our friends the things they need to become BDB(big dick ballers) just like us, and so we're going to do it. Also, expect more updates here, because I mainly haven't been updating much because I was so bored with what we were doing.

I don’t know if I’ve touched upon it before, but let me take the time to say, Well geared NIN + well geared Curespam WHM = win at everything forever.. well, at least if you’re us. We’ve duoed everything *except turl* so far that we needed to kill. We are awesome. K I’m done.

We've been talking about leveling an alternate character that Carste has been keeping as a Jeuno mule for a BRD, just to make our dicks hard. We're considering SMN burning his BLM to 30, and unlocking BRD, and then if the first smn burn went well, we'll do it again to 30 and abyssea leech him to 85 and just skillup as we go. We'll probably take turns getting him through the necessary missions and quests to get into the area's we'll need his help in .

We've actually come into a THF account from a friend who can't play at the moment, Buckeyespud. His laptop shit the bed. Wishing he makes a swift return, but not too swift. THF3 mule is hawtness.

I'm rather glad we've been given the opportunity to use Buckeyespud, as he's saved our asses by sacrificing his own on more than one occasion. NIN tank wipe, take hate from me, Flee away and die and it gives me time to get Carste up and let him 2hr so he's unweakend and the fight can continue as usual. Also, by then, we've tagged it with TH, so we're good to go. :D

Ok, lets get into the boring shit.

Absolute Virtuefag

Absolute Virtue Zerg, great success. It took about 40 minutes of holding, and 30 seconds to kill. I have no idea what dropped, but we got our titles. Woo! We also get a decent MAB atma from that title, but I think it's also a MP-50% or some shit. Totally not worth it.

It only took Carste and I nearly 20 times to kill bakka before we got my Goetia chain.. and then the update came around and Bakka is now a 10min respawn. FML. Fail fail fail fail fail. Still gotta get one for Carste and other friends.

Last week in AP was a free week to prep for the update coming. Carste and I (and a duoboxed Buckeyespud) got a level 37sync party in East Ronfaure[s] and were able to level some subjobs so we won't be the gimpzors. Got SCH to an appropriate level for the new 90 cap, so my WHM will be all set. Also, on a personal exciting note: With the new level cap, I suspect I'll finally be able to get the +10 or more that I've been fighting for with my Boost-STAT spells.

Did some other random abyssea garbage with Carste and his boy-pet Topler. We were able to farm the base feet for a few of our jobs in various zones. I was able to get my WHM feet and upgrade them to the +1 which is a bonus for my Bar-spell and enhancing magic build.

Carste helped me farm my 15 bottled pixies for my Cure staff in record time. Now I just need to rape a lot of elemental's on light's day. Should have that trial finished up this weekend I would imagine. By the time my staff is done I’ll be sitting at 32% cure potency with capped fastcast on healing magic and a pretty low recast on Cure 5. I'm considering buying the HQ version of the Noble's tunic, since the new WHM AF body doesn't have better cure potency on it like I thought it would.. might be a waste of gil though.

I was first on the list to obtain these sexy pants. These make my MP go for miles and miles.. Also they help me get within 1% of the fast cast cap for my cures. (20% from merits, 15 from cure clogs, 12 from legs) Also, once I get my cure potency staff upgraded so that my C5’s will be doing 1k , I’ll be rocking a 65MP Cure 5 in Light Arts. My Cure5 heals about 915HP right now. Sadly, I’m now Perma-WHM.

Sadly, that’s the only Af3 I’ve obtained so far. I’m close to getting my SAM legs, and not so close to getting BLM legs, but I’m working on those slowly.

We had a Sea week with AP. Did the normal Jailers. We got super lucky first day in the week with Ix’Drg popping 3x in one night, so we didn’t need to camp him any more. That was always my least favorite part of Sea. Farming Ix’Drg.

I was able to get my hands on this cape, which is useful for both my jobs, and my enhancing build on WHM! My Boost-MND gives +8 now! Still trying to find a way to max it out to +10, but I don’t think it’s possible until the next update, or without a lot more Enhancing + gear.

Also, got this nasty little thing. Hell yes. BLM is coming along nicely. I’ve long since maxed out my merits on all my jobs, and the only job without capped EXP is SAM.. but we’re working on that.

This week we were prepping for an Absolute Virtue zerg. I was pretty excited, as I always am, to fight really intense monsters. I was on WHM for the JOL’s and AV. After we killed JOL, I R3 spammed a few people for about 40mins while everyone job changed and we practiced bard rotations. We finally engaged with about 12 minutes before it was due to depop. An alliance with 1 WHM in each pt, Sam’s, War’s, a Drg for Angon, and all the other defense lowering stuff . The zerg went incredibly well, but we wiped at 17% I think. Might have been lower. The War’s and Sam’s parsed well, but the Drg was holding us back big time. The other 2 parties in the alliance died due to lack of cures and Meteor spamming. My party followed shortly thereafter. It was a good attempt, and I hope we try it again soon.

I helped Janko kill some Shaggoth for Magian trial. That was a good time.

Carste and I have been duoing everything in Abyssea. Don’t have too much to show for it, but we’re working on that. Absolute Perfection has really gotten us the best Atma’s so far. We’re still hoping to get a few more good ones, but we’ve got the ones that make the most difference. 10Mp/tick refresh = Awesome for WHM, and the –enmity isn’t terrible either.

Carste’s NIN has become disgustingly good since the update. Both in and out of Abyssea. The SAM RDM duo is long since dead. NIN WHM is the only way to go now. I have endless MP, and with Refresh and Magic Acc atma’s, I can nearly land capped Paralyze and Slow on everything. The 30-40min Quasimodo duo is now a 10min fight with NIN. Sadly, drops on him have been garbage lately. That fight is so easy, I sac pull and keep Carste alive weakened for half the fight.

Duo’d Lord Varney with little problems, when I’m not retarded. The problems being that I’m retarded… Yeah.

Another Cuelebre duo. This time for Veralynn who wanted the dagger. Instead of the WHM RDM setup we had done in the past, BLM RDM was more applicable since the 10MP/tick refresh atma had been obtained. Took less than 13 minutes to kill. Carste could probably solo that in 30mins. Granted he doesn’t get petrified..yeah.

ZNM’s! I forget if I posted our awesomesauce duo of Nosferatu. But we did it. We had 2 buyers for gear, but sadly it didn’t drop any. Anataboga killed.

NIN/??? WHM/SCH, Achamoth kill. This was intended to be a duo, but Zaross wanted to come and he geared up PLD/RDM so he could zone the pops… But he DC’d right before and during the fight, so I ended up taking the pops to the zoneline and leaving carste all by himself. Zaross did come back and finish his job. This could more than likely actually be a duo with NIN/DNC WHM/RDM. I started to run out of mp from zoning so much and not being able to rest, so refresh and convert would make that an easy fight.

Opted to drop the COR for someone with Treasure Hunter this time. We had planned on doing this as a 5man without the BRD but our BRD pal ended up being able to come, and it turns out we could probably do this duo’d SAM/WAR WHM/SCH, but that seems just a little risky for all the work it takes to get one of those pops.

Our Sarameya was alive for about 5 minutes. He went down so fast that I felt cheated out of my fight. 2 SAM’s is just too much. Maybe next time we won’t dispel his regen to actually make it a challenge. Drops: Oracle’s hat, and other gil items. No pants ; ;. I’ll never get those, but it’s fun to try.

After the Sarameya, We stole Zerayla and Athoz, and went to Abyssea to see if we could get them some seals. It was good to play with them again, Since I hadn’t had the opportunity in ages.

After they both went to bed, Carste and I went to Abyssea - Konschtat to kill a few NM’s that we both wanted drops from. Neither of us got our drops, and we ended our night by attempting Turul.. which as always, is a terrible idea.

Quite a bit to cover, so lets get to it, HERE’S ANOTHER BORING BLOG POST.

So recently, Carste has been coming NIN to Abyssea with AP, and it turns out, that the atmas make him do more damage on NIN than I do on SAM. He nearly has a 50% crit hit ratio, which is awesome, so we can duo stuff WHM and NIN.. except for I have no refresh on my WHM in abyssea, not counting Sublimation, which leads me to my next part of this post..

So I finally bought ASA on Friday. The atma and PDT pants I’ll get are too good to pass up. I’m already on number 8 or 9 thanks to Carste. I hope to be on the last fight by Friday, and get my atma and pants by Saturday, just in time for Abyssea. I’m making quick work of these missions, but the one I’m on now seems like a pain, so I’ve been putting it off.

Had a bit of trouble getting to one of the cloister zones because I’m a stubborn retard. Decided it would be easier to PDT aggro my way through Cape Terigan instead of s/i my way.

I missed my Dynamis run with ROR on Tuesday last week. I was just too tired to attend.

Duo’d Nosferatu with Carste. (you’ll see 2 other people in the pt on the screenshots, those people were buyers for gear that could drop), Took us about 45 minutes to kill, and we both got charmed and turned into bats a few times. That was fun! The poor THF kept randomly taking our hate though, and would get either oneshotted or charmed.

Finally finished my Vermin trial on my Great Katana. Onto an assload of Manticores (I think). I’m not really sure when this becomes better than Hagun.

Also finished another trial on my Thunder staff. I finally have the version that’s better than the Jupiter’s staff. That slime trial took me an estimated 6 hours to do. What a pain in the ass. Glad it’s over.

I realized recently that I still had the drops from the Sarameya we had fought, so decided to do something with them. I had noticed that the Cerberus hide had been dropping very steeply in price, so I decided to wait to see if it went back up, and it never did. Athoz eventually told me to hold off on selling it, and he would try to make a Cerberus Mantle (+1) out of it once he got his leathercraft up. Well, Athoz ran out of gil at LC96, so I enlisted the help of a 100+5 leathercrafter to try and make us a +1 mantle to sell. He desynthed about 4 mantle’s before he lost the hide. Oh well. Sucks, but it happens. It was a chance I was willing to take to split the 3m between the remaining 4 people who still play.

Carste offered to help me skill up my Parrying level, since it was so gimp. I decided now was as good a time as ever to finish getting my Boxer’s Mantle. I cashed out the 250k in ABC’s in upper jeuno and bought it. It was kinda fun doing the parrying at first, but after a while it got real dull. I think I got over 30 levels though!

Abyssea with AP last night. TIDAL WAVE! Lol, Jala wondered into our –ga burn of all the mobs and decided to kill us all instantly.

Also some Ironclad fun. No closer to a +2 though. We’ve been spamming the Tier 2 VNM and it still hasn’t changed. Stupid stupid stupid.

Looking to solo some stuff this week to make some gil. I’m awfully broke.

Recently did some KS99 with AP. No speed belt for me. >.<, but I was able to get my pal Dragonsbane his Wyrm beard for his Black Belt.. he’ll probably never finish the set though.

That new SAM JA really boosts that first MB by a lot.

AP killed one of the zone bosses for Abyssea- Misareaux, Cirein-croin! After killing this, I was able to be infused with 2 atma’s instead of just one. Lovely! Also, Carste got to NIN for the night, and tank. Nice to know NIN/DRK can still be done effectively. He had hate 80% of the fights.

Dynamis Jeuno. Had a weird DC issue. No WHM legs, bah. Waste of my time. Didn’t even get any skillups.

Last night:

Carste and I were supposed to have a NM killing night, but that faggot got into a terrible EXP Abyssea pt, and I had to come SAM to speed shit up so he could hit 80 faster and leave.

Abyssea- Vunkerl, Carste and I decided to give Quasimodo another shot… and instead of it taking 45minutes to wipe, we won within 25 minutes, minimal issues. However, no drops…Hellllo STR+ Atma.

So, we whooped that faggot right? Lets pop another… This time I’ll pull! … fuck I linked a few, I’ll drag them to the conflux… hold the NM!... OK I’m back, let me take hat- fuck I died! Hold the NM! OHSHIT YOU PROCED THE !!, Ok I’m unweakened! I’ll take it fro- Fuck we both died… ugh.

But we did find out that the terrorize move he does is a gaze, so if I turn around next time we do this, it will be less MP intensive, Carste will have less hate, and I won’t be terrorized for 4-5 minutes for each fight… even though it gives good evasion skill ups!

We moved to Abyssea- Misareaux to pop some NM’s and check on some roaming ones. Gugamatz was a no-show the first and second time we checked him. We decided to kill the bird (crow looking one) NM, we won easily, even though he had a silence aura or some shit and carste kept whining about me taking damage, and that his MP pool was below 900. Killed Sirrush for shit drops. Checked Gugamatz again, this time there was other people waiting for it to pop. We waited about 10minutes before we said fuck it, and left the zone. That was about it for the night. I’m having a good time playing SAM, and utilizing the PDT and enmity sets I made. Makes it seem worthwhile.

I got these nice rings, two of them..Finally. I’ve been wanting them a long time, but they were upwards of 1mi each up until recently.

Good for my Paralyze and Slow macros, which I’ll never use. I’m going to fulltime one of them on my WHM, and take out the Ether ring. -10MP and gain 4MND, a good choice, especially all FFXI is anymore is abyssea, and I have a huge MP pool anyway. Nobody wants to read about my small or gear changes. But I do hope they increase our inventory somehow. I don’t want to buy a goddamned key token for the + inventory from the satchel.

So I stole Vepion late one night, and decided to let him PUP it up for me to kill some NM’s. We successfully claimed and killed Bakka, PUP/NIN and WHM/SCH. Also killed Lachymater, neither gave us the drops.

After those two NM’s, we checked on a NM for Vepion in Abyssea – La-Theine named Kesha Poppo. This was a pain in the ass NM, which took 90minutes to kill. Vepion swapped to BRD/COR and I swapped to BLM/RDM. I don’t remember what the drop Vepion was looking for was, but he didn’t get it. This was a pain in the ass, because to kill it, I had to drag it across 75% of the zone, and then find a way to deaggro the links I had gotten along with the NM. I was far enough ahead that I was able to hit a conflux, and then warp right back. Luckily I was right, and the NM was alone, and didn’t have 10 other Opo’s with him. I Bio II’d him and ran him to the kiting spot. We shortly found out that after he does a TP move, he has hate reset, and Vepion nearly died a few times. I wish I had gotten more screenshots of this, but I was concentrating too much.. Next time I do this I’ll be /nin since 75% of the fight was me losing my pin because I had to put stoneskin back up. Vepion said that PUPs were soloing this by deactivating their puppets and whatever, but I can’t see that happening unless it took the full 120mins to do.

This section is about Carste and I getting raped. A lot.

After scoping out the Wiki for about 30mins, we decided on a small handful of NM’s to kill in Abyssea – Vunkerl which dropped seals which we needed for our jobs. Carste was RDM/WHM, I was SAM/NIN. Let me start by saying, I’ve never done any Shadow-Gekko tanking before Abyssea came out, so I’m still not a pro at it.. The first NM we were going to try, was a rabbit named Gnawtooth Gary. We popped the first one, and wiped to it around 60%. Even though Carste was successfully landing Slow and Paralyze on it, his double and triple attacks were too much for me to keep up with… combine that with a badly timed convert, and you have a wipe. We were able to get ahold of Vepion for the next attempt, which was excellent. He came on BRD, and would be picking up any SMN or PUP seals that would drop. We did much better this time, but still wiped. I died after a short time, and I was able to fully unweaken while bouncing hate between Carste and I. Shortly after I unweakend, the NM did an AOE WS, and we all died. Fucking fuck.

On to Quasimodo. This mother fucker had NO information on the wiki, so we figured we’d give it a shot. Thankfully, we still had vepion, and none of us died until we wiped. Sadly, Vepion had to leave at 30% because he ran out of time. For those of you planning to fight this, bring a stun. Quasi does a frontal TP move which terrorizes you for 30 seconds exactly. It has a bit of a cast time, so I believe stun could be used. He also has a aoe Curse + dmg move, which takes a few seconds to build up. During the few seconds he is charging up for it, it is possible to run out of range if you can get outside the 20’ . I’m not sure if it’s possible to stun it. Regardless, we wiped at 2%. He seems to have high defense, and additional attack food doesn’t seem to do much, so I might go with a tank food next time…

Last night, we got something that will make fighting these NM’s a lot easier. (I was WHM/SCH) With AP, we fought Eccentric Eve, and won! It was a fight from hell though. One of the BRD’s aggro’d Turul (The flying dragon in the sky), which has alliance hate. The BRD quickly died, and at a terrible time. I had just ran into the tank pt to give bar spells, and got hit with a Nasty breath or something, but it took 80% of my health, and paralyzed and poisoned and silenced me. Regardless, Turul was coming, so I casted flash on it, smashed the fuck out of my PDT macro, and started running. I didn’t get very far, before Poison got me. I warned the alliance that Turul was coming for them, and Carste was able to take him and start kiting him away from the alliance. Carste was able to hold Turul at bay for the remainder of the fight. I was able to unweaken after a bit, and the fight continued.. until one of the RNG’s pulled hate, and a few people over there died.. and then the tanks died… and then the SAM died… so eventually, it was down to one of the RNG’s kiting it around until the PLDs unweakend. We killed it, but sadly one person was still dead on the ground, and he didn’t get the Atma.

This atma, is the atma to end all atmas.. 50STR, Double attack 10% and Regain 2/tic. I CAN’T WAIT to get home and use this tonight. I hope with this atma, and a little macro tweeking, Carste and I will be able to get our NM’s killed… I just wish it hadn’t taken 70 fucking minutes for the leader to let us enter so we could start killing. I was half asleep once the fight started.

Two updates? IN TWO WEEKS? Holy shit I’m bored. Not sure what I covered in my last update… let me check..JOL.. Cuelebre… WHM AF3…Yilbegan… OK here we go.

I’ve dragged Carste with me to Abyssea – Tahrongi at least 4 times to kill Lachrymater with me, so I can try to get a Witchstone. We killed him ¾ times, the one wipe being a unlucky pull by Carste. Our setup was RDM/WHM and SAM/NIN. I had some decent Gekko’s with the stat bonuses from Abyssea. We dragged Dragonsbane out on our 4th pop to try and get some TH on it, but still no drop. Bastard.

One other NM Carste and I have been trying to kill, is Bakka. SAM/NIN RDM/WHM, although alternately we could probably do it just as easily WHM / RDM(or /sch) and SAM/NIN, but we’re usually already geared the other way. We haven’t wiped to this NM yet, because we haven’t been able to claim it… The fucker is never up, and the moment it is up, It gets claimed before we can get there. Someday we’ll get our Goetia Chains…

I’ve spent a couple more hours trying to do quests to get more seals for different gear from Abyssea, but sadly I haven’t been able to get anything. The quests for Abyssea – Vunkerl seem to take forever to do, so I’ll probably just wait until AP does that zone so I can just lot them from NM’s. It seems to be a waste of time doing the quests. Or maybe I’m just doing them wrong. I’ve been doing the 2 quests where they ask you to go to different points on the map and check spots and report back for a reward. I’m about 0/15 on those quests. Maybe my time would be better spend in Abyssea – Misareaux getting all my items from there. I still need my seals for BLM and SAM from there anyway, so I might as well do that. Also, I’m most familiar with that zone and it’s NM’s, so I should be able to team up with some people and get some seals that way.

I was finally able to finish my Shellra 5, and I put another merit into my Burst II. I’ve had WHM75 for 3 years, and it’s been my least merited job for a long time. Total Noob.

Still doing Limbus runs with Dragonsbane, He’s almost got enough to buy his Boxer’s mantle, and I think once he does that, we’ll do another run and I’ll get one also, and toss it in my PDT set for SAM. We average 22-27 coins a run.

Last night was abyssea with AP, Misareaux. Carste got a few RDM seals, and it almost done with his legs. I’ve been bugging Cloudxz (ls leader) to take the ls to kill Ironclad Serverer so that I could get by Goetia Mantle… Well, sadly the LS didn’t, but I did. As we were zoning in as a linkshell, I went to check if it was up, and it was.. but it was being killed, so I got the TOD, and cured one of the people killing it, and left. A minute later I got a /tell from the group leader asking if I wanted to get in on the next kill in a hour, BLM mantle being freelot… YES! A hour and 15minutes later, I got a /tell, and I disbanded AP, and ran to Ironclad. We took it down in 5 minutes, and I lotted a 400~ for the mantle. Ugh, but the other BLM lotted a 46!! WINNRAR. Extremely excited about that. Took 5minutes and changed all my nuking macros on the spot, and then left to finish off the night with AP.

I’ve finally started taking some screenshots again, and I’ve got some good ones to share!

It’s been an eventful week with AP, focusing mainly on Sea. We did some Jailer of Prudence, Jailer of Love, and the other less significant NM’s. We took bids on Novio Earring, and the one other person who would have been able to out-bid me wasn’t online! OH MAN NOVIO FOR ME!

If only it dropped on our 2 separate pops… ugh. Hopefully I’ll have more points than Chocoboits by the time we do JOL again.. that is, if Carste and I don’t lowman it before then!! That’s right bitches, I said it. Lowman, JOL. Stay tuned.

Carste and I killed Cuelebre a few times over the course of a few days to get him his dagger. I think we went 1/3? Either way, I made some decent gil off it. The first kill we did as a duo, the 2nd we had a BLM assist, and the 3rd kill we took Midgetking as THF for some TH on it. So still practically duo’d.

I obtained both my Key Items to lower the timer on my Transverser stones, so now I have 12hr stones! Also, I got they key item to add an additional 3 minutes for every stone I hand in.

Spent a lot of time in Abyssea-Misareaux, by myself and with AP. I got an exp party there, and was able to get 3/5 of my Shellra 5 merits, and later on with AP I was able to get 5/5 merits, which means I only need around 30 merits before SAM WHM BLM are fully merited!

Also, because of all the hype about the new AF3 (I think that’s what it’s called, this is the part where Carste will call me a dumb faggot) I had to put 100% of my play time on Saturday into getting my WHM legs. Well, eventually I was able to get them, but not when I wanted them, which was for the JOL fights we were going to do. I’m the first WHM in AP to get my +1 legs I believe. I’m unsure of what to work on next, probably the WHM head piece since it’s so nice. And after that I’ll do SAM legs.

I really can’t wait to get my hands on all of the SAM pieces, even though the only time I play the job is to kill something lowman style.. All those pieces are so much nicer than what I already have. I had some plans to upgrade my SAM AF legs to +1 to get 5STR for my WS’s, but the new AF3 pieces are so much better!

Essentially, I could go on for pages about how much better the new gear is than what I already have, but I wont.

So, I know it’s been a while since my last update, but some changes have kept me from posting.

For starters, there is a new girl in my office who I work closely with, and she is a little nosey about what I’m doing on the internet, so I can’t dedicate 30+ minutes to writing and posting updates. Also, I’m being more closely watched by my bosses here, so that’s prohibiting things. And to top it all off, I recently had to reformat my hard drive and reinstall Windows7, so I still don’t have all my stuff organized the way I’d like, and because of it, I keep forgetting to hit that screenshot button. >.>

Carste joined AbsolutePerfection, and he’s getting lotting rights twice as fast as I did. Fucker.

I’ve got my full HP pushdown set for my Sorcerer’s ring, and am constantly getting yelled at for using it, and constantly dying from mega-aoe moves from NM’s because of it.

We compelted all the WOTG stuff up-to-date and we’ve gotten our rings! Also, I got this earring while doing VNM’s with AP.

I’ve been after it for a long ass time, but it still doesn’t help my gimp ass dark magic build.

I got the new STR12 helm for SAM, but it still doesn’t help the fact that I’ve only got 2STR on my legs slot for my YGK.

I’m about half done with my STR ATK GK for SAM, while Carste is about ¾.

Fought a couple Yilbegen’s, and a Turul or two. Turul is the worst NM I’ve ever had to WHM for in my career. Listen to me whine for a second. He has knockback moves and hate reset, which means that everyone is getting thrown all over the place all the time, so I’m constantly running to cure someone, sometimes over 40 yalms! K I’m done.

WHM is getting “Boost Stat” spells now, Can’t wait for STR and INT. I was really excited when I started thinking WHM/SCH will get Firestorm, and that when SCH gives me firestorm it grants additional STR, and I thought I’d be able to do Firestorm and Boost STR, but it’s a sch merit JA. Fuckers.

Started my Thunder staff trials last week, and thunder weather is avoiding me like the plague. It’s going to be a long road before I get to my final staff.

Got my Cure Potency +3% cape off Marvin, with the help of a faggot named Steve.

Haven’t had the pleasure of harassing Hesper within the last week or two. Makes me sad.

I’ve been duoing limbus with Dragonsbane to help him farm ABC’s. So far, we’ve had 2/3 succesful runs. Last run we wiped pretty hard on the third floor because we weren’t paying attention.

I’ve still got plenty of work to do to maximize my jobs. I finally found a reason to finish the Nation missions, which I never bothered to do, and that reason is Abyssea abyssites. I’m going to be busy as fuck for quite some time..

Got to help my pal Wakmidget with some of his magian trials.

Last week with AbsolutePerfection, was SCNM’s, which I had never really done before, so I had fun.

We got a couple drops from the NM’s that went freelot, and didn’t have awesome drops from the SCNM, but we did get a couple things, and I got to use my new Sorcerer’s Gloves which are awesome for adding magic burst damage, especially when grouped with the new Samurai ability which boost Magic Burst damage or something…

Did I mention I got those in Dynamis-Windurst? Maybe? Well I did. Ok, moving on…

I had my last run with the WeHeartCaulk linkshell. I always enjoyed Limbus, but lately it’s seemed more of a chore to make the run times than it’s worth. I’ll always love you Nere <3

Got to do SAM in an Abyssea party with AP. Turns out that my SAM isn’t as terrible as I thought it was. Also was able to get my buttbuddy Carste a spot in the alliance, and he was able to cap merits and RDM exp at level 80.

Also got my SAM to 80 and was able to use the new Perle feet with the 5STR, they’re sexy. Also picked up the Perle Hauberk to WS in, for the added STR. I want to get my hands on some H. Haidate for the STR10, since I’m only WSing in 2STR on my legs (lolgimp), but they’re 15-20mil, and even if I did get them off Sarameya, It would be more beneficial to sell them off and use the gil for other upgrades.

While I’m talking about my SAM, for my few readers who SAM Polearm (Or just DRG), for Penta Thrust, should I stack STR or DEX, or should I be trying to get a equal number of both? My Penta Thrust damage is all over the place, from 1600 to 450, so some tips would be greatly appreciated.

Helped that buttbuddy of mine with some of his trials. He finally finished his Thunder staff, and is working on his Ice. I know I’m trailing behind big time on the magian trial stuff, especially since I haven’t even started on the ice and thunder trials and my Cure staff isn’t even close to being done.

Carste and I did start on our GK trials, working towards this:

We weren’t really having much luck with our first trial, but we did get a couple kills before we killed ourselves of boredom. Luckily the next trial should be easy since it’s only 25 mobs.

Helped Wakmidget and Deadbeet kill an NM in Abyssea that drops this beauty:

I instantly wanted it. Luckily Carste needs whatever it is that this NM drops for a trial, and he’ll be killing it a lot, and I can snag myself a cape while we kill it for his trial… Just need to get WHM80, it’s sitting at 77 right now.

Did 2 KClub runs, one of which I died on around 50%. My first death in this BCNM. Luckily carste was able to save the run, and not get the drop
I was finally able to get myself a Winterstone, to complete my Genbu pop set, and I grabbed Carste and Hesper and we took off for sky in order for me to get my Zenith Mitts. Sadly, the fight lasted about half as long as I would have liked it to, but it was fun. I got my Zenith Mitts, Carste’s Genbu Shield didn’t drop, and we got to make Hesper feel uncomfortable. Win Win.

I quickly un-cursed the mitts, and realized that I was pretty close to getting the amount of Hp- gear I needed to self-proc my Sorcerer’s Ring, and luckily I had the abjuration for Zenith Slacks, so I shelled out the 500k and uncursed those as well and finally reached my goal. Now that I have the macro.. I have to decide if I want to gimp my sublimation for WHM/SCH to get an extra 10% cure potency from the Medicine Ring..

My WOTG mission static has 1 last run, and we’ll be done with all 3 cities and have all the rewards!! Excitttting,.
Haven’t made the switch yet, but I can’t decide which piece to ditch my AF hat for… Teal or Hecate’s crown.. I think I’ll have better returns with the Teal, and it’s a lot cheaper. Although it makes me sad to lose 30MP, but I figured I could afford it since I got the Zenith Mitts.. even though Teal hat is so fucking ugly.

Was in sea trying to farm up some organs on BLM so I could get my thunder obi and my gorget for SAM, when I ran into Begsta who was also organ farming, so I decided to forgo what I needed and assist him since I don’t get to play with him that often. We went inside to the Aern’s and killed for about a hour before he got his 4 organs, and while I was there I did some testing with my Weskit (INT+4 Augment) against the new Teal body on some Aern’s while I was helping Begsta farm some organs. Weskit beat out Teal 20/20 times. In fact, while nuking in Teal, I resisted 8/20, while having a 0/20 resist rate on Weskit.. Also Weskit is nicer to look at.

Dynamis Bastok last night was a great success. We killed the boss and farmed up until the last minute. We ended with some 300+ coins and not a bad number of relic drops. Sadly, no 100c. Next week is Xarcarbard!!
I still have quite a lot of work to do for my subjobs. SAM80/NIN37 looks horrible, so I’ve gotta fix that soon. Also I need to snag the last level for my SCH to get it to 40….

Sea farming with AbsolutePerfection last night. I was on Ix’Aern duty, and after not getting him to pop last night, I wasn’t really looking forward to being up there again. We started killing, and he popped after about a half hour. With a party of 5 BLM’s, we were able to kill him in about 15 minutes. We also killed Jailer of Fortitude!

Apollyon: Kasier Behemoth. My limbus shell has had trouble on this floor for the past week, failing at least 2 times. But last night, we decided to over do it. We blew through all the floors, and KB with over 30mins to spare. We had a couple deaths (not me) because people didn’t follow instructions about kiting counter clockwise, and they led KB into the standing group and they got Meee-teee-orrr’d. But, fuck it, a win is a win. The only mob we skipped was the Adamantoise (sp). 4 coins each, and gtfo. Forgot to take pics of the KB kill

On a separate note, Kawa was doing decent damage with the Stone and Water 5 spells.. and I know I said I wasn’t going to buy them… but I think I just might.

Dynamis- Beauc! My first Beauc run ever, and it went pretty darn well. I’ve been helping Dragonsbane with the pulling of zones lately. It helps a lot when the puller has a personal BLM to sleep shit for him, and it also makes Dynamis not seem so long, since I’m always keeping watch for the next set.

I died a few times, which is fine since I had capped exp when I entered. At one point Jdexhooper nearly wiped us by randomly running into a couple stones, which linked with more stones.. I was able to get one sleepga off before everything raped me, and with half the shell dead, we were able to get through it. The rest of the run went pretty smooth, but I was praying to Alanta that my BLM body would drop.. and behold…!!!

Fuckk yes. Something that isn’t so ugly as black cloak. I had written it into my macro even before it left the treasure pool. Now I just have to try and decide what I’m going to use for a head piece for idle. I threw the Igqira Tiara in there for last night, just for the evasion +10 it offered, but I think I might put the Zenith Crown on that spot because whenever I hit my idle macro, it drops my MP just below my full nuking mp

We got to the boss, Dragonsbane pulled the Dahak’s far far away and we blew up the Boss. I got my win, but sadly, I didn’t know that once you pulled the win, you had to zone out so the dahak’s didn’t kill us all. A short run I suppose, but at least I’m ready for Xarcarbard next week, which will hopefully land me my BLM head, and if I’m lucky and it goes freelot, my SAM head also.

I got invited on my SAM to do a MMM party, which I’ve heard was good exp, and quick… Well this party didn’t really turn out to be that. I got about 8k before I decided to log off and do something else. I did ding SAM76 though, which isn’t bad.

Tinnin fight with AP. Sadly I’ve missed a few fights with them because of my crappy internet connection. Decent drops though, and a fun fight!

Also Armed Gears! I dc’d during this fight about a dozen times.

Now for the portion I’ve been waiting all weekend to blog. Abyssea- Exp! We entered Abyssea-Konschtat with a little more knowledge about how to get better exp than the last time we did. Long story short, I went from 1k Exp into level 79 on BLM, and ended up capped exp at 80, and 10/10 merits. We got so much exp, I had to swap to SAM so that the exp wouldn’t go to waste. After 4 hours we got 160k exp. Completely insane. Check the screenshots. I’ve never seen anything like it. 610 exp a kill when capped. Nearly everyone in the alliance was level 80 when we were finished.

I started my Magian trials for my Cure Potency +17% Staff this weekend. Trial 790: Kill 50 Treants during any weather. With a little guidance from Wakmidget, I traveled to Grauberg [s] and teamed up with a few people killing treants already. I got down to 7 remaining when I had to gather in Sea for events. I probably would have been finished, but I always forget to swap my staff out for the kill. I ended up replacing the Earth staff in my idle macro set with the magian weapon.

We were camping Ix’Aern, and we killed 3 different rooms of arens for 3 hours with no pops. Sad face: Insert here.

I was able to unlock Protectra 5, and dump a few upgrades into my WHM merits, which are badly needed. I’m going to work on getting WHM80 this week, as I’m really looking forward to convert! I’ll probably do some campaign on it, since I haven’t touched my medals in a long time, and I’d like to make sure I have enough Allied Notes for a Allied ring for the next time we get the throne room.

Last week was AP’s VNM week, and we killed an assload of NMs’. Including a few Yilbegen’s! (No drops on Galdr’s ring though)

I have to take a second to say farewell forever to my dear friend Marvolo. He and Touchstone brought me into this game many years ago, and they’ve played on and off for many of those years. I’ve had control of Marvolo’s character for a little bit.

Helped my social shell do some VNM also!! Carste got to NIN tank and it made his dick hard.

Carste and I did some tabs farming in Valley of Sorrows, and tried to get claim on Aspidochelone.. Didn’t happen.

Abyssea-Konschtat with AP, Alliance EXP style. Pretty cool, and won enough Curor to upgrade my pants for BLM. (Yeah, I know they’re cheap, but spending my Curor was free!)

I’ve spent a lot of time in Sea leveling BLM, and killing Ix’aern. Sadly, we were never able to get the cape item to drop for Xean.

Did Dynamis-Windurst (ughh), but was able to get WHM feets! Gogo- Bar-spell macros!

That’s about ittt so far. I’ve been spending a little more time in the real world than I usually do.

Oh, Carste and I spammed 3 BCNM Up in Arms, and I thought I had taken some screenshots, but I guess I didn’t… weird. No KClub.

BLM 78, this took 2 fucking weeks.

I’ve put RDM and PLD on hold for a long time, and I plan on selling off all the gear for them. I have too much leveling and meriting to do in order to not be gimp. I am glad that I leveled RDM as far as I did so I don’t have to do it for subjob (CONVERT!).
Friday we continued our WOTG static again.. I forgot to take any more screenshots past the entrance lol.

Got some Jailer of Love action going on with AP! That was a lot of fun. Never fought it before, and I’ll include all screenshots since I know Carste is interested in how we killed it.

It died, and Absolute Virtue popped. .... annnnnd wiped us. Lol. It was awesome to see this huge professional group take a megawipe in stride. A few of them even got up so they could die again, but this time with a slide. Hilarious.

Did some BLM EXP/Ix farming with Carste. I think we got super lucky and Ix popped on the 2nd or 3rd Aern we killed! We got Zerayla to bring her Alt character: Xean to lot on the cape, but it didn’t drop. It was an easy kill though. We got a lot of exp at this camp.

Did some 6man Shoggoth kills with AP also. That was fun!

Also time for my upgrades I recently got.

Snow Ring: I’ll probably augment this even though I shouldn’t.

Zenith Crown: Essential for HP pushdown set on Sorcerer’s ring and max MP for WHM.

Tuesday was Limbus. Normally, kinda boring.. but since the version update, SE and broke Aspir, and I was really having some fun with it.

Got an BLM burn in Sauromunge Champaign [s] which allowed me to burn an allied ring charge, as well as an emperor ring. Helllo EXP!

Finally got my BLM AF Hat fight done! Thanks Standpoint and Zerayla!!

Saturday night is the night our LS does VNM’s! We had planned to kill Shoggoth a few times that night, but about a hour before our start time, we saw a /shout in Whitegate for a group that was going to be killing Shoggoth and Lamprey Lord, so instead of possibly failing on our own, we went with the full alliance! We were able to kill it 7 or 8 times I think, and traveled all over to do it. We also got the Lamprey Lord Earring to drop… But I wasn’t able to win it.

On another note, my Colorful Abyssite changed to a yellow one, so I’ve gotta go get a new one.

Did some Exp with Touchstone and Marvolo and got my WHM76!

Did some Sea with AbsolutePerfection the other day. And afterwards, I got to do my first Abyssea!! We went after the Sandworm NM and Cloudxz was able to snag a pretty nasty great axe.

Had a semi-failed attempt Saturday Night VNM’s with SOTW. We hardly got any participation from LS members except for a few core members. We first tried to take down shoggoth.. But that didn’t work out so good. So we moved to the tier 2 Farruca Fly VNM and killed it pretty easily. It was a good time for me because it was the first night I was able to play around with WHM/SCH, even though I only had /35SCH. We killed it 2-3 times.

I’ve spent the majority of my last week trying to get SCH up to an acceptable subjob level.. And I finally got it to 37 on Sunday night.. So my WHM isn’t gimp for exactly 14 hours before the update takes place…. Ughhhh. At least I’m busy now and I’m not constantly looking for something to do..

I’ve been lurking around some WHM threads, and it seems an underused piece of gear called “Medicine Ring” which increases cure potency by 10% and it’s latent is activated by exactly the same thing as Sorcerer’s Ring would be an excellent addition to my WHM gearset. I just need to build a HP pushdown set with some Zenith gear and maybe a Serket Ring. I also plan on buying the Sorcerer’s Ring if I’m getting the HP pushdown set…

tl;dr I’m spending all my gil.

I’ve done a few MMM mazes with Sjoidjgo to try and get him some earring or whatever. Not really sure, why we’re killing it but we did 1 run with Athoz, and we won with slight difficulty. Then we duo’d it and won with moderate difficulty.

Did a Nyzul run with some LS members who have a static going, and one of the members didn’t show up, so I filled in and they informed me that I could be the permanent replacement… well 2 runs in the person who I was repping shows up and claims timezone confusion.. Not sure whats going to happen with that. I’ll let that person have my spot if they are able to catch up though..

Carste and I continued our BCNM 60 static with no drop again. We did get that fucking mask though. ughughugh

Helped some AbsolutePerfection members get the final WOTG fight completed.

Ughhhhh Version Update. Ughhhhhh.

Got extended until 9:30 EST and none of my jobs had capped EXP. When we finally got in, I recruited Zerayla to come level BLM with me in Sea on Aern’s but while I was talking to her, we both got invites on our BLM’s to join a blm burn pt in Vunkerl Inlet [s]. I needed 3 merit points (I was 2.3k towards merit point #1) and my blm was sitting at 23,000/44,000 exp. Good thing I had an allied ring, emperor ring, and Anniversary ring. I was able to hit 76 in 2 hours!!

-several days later-

I was able to get a good 18k buffer on BLM76, and was able to ding WHM76 and get a 2k buffer. Not quite as much exp as I was hoping to get this week, but it’s enough I suppose.

I bought a Sorcerer’s ring, but the only way I can activate it is by getting hit a couple times by the mob which is kinda shitty.. But until Carste and I win a Kraken Club, it’s all I can do. (Or I win more 100c from Dynamis)

I tried to do some Campaign for some exp and to raise my medals, but holy hell! Campaign was more full than it was when they released northlands! >.< I guess I’ll have to stick with level sync’s or random blm burns in sky and sea because Mt. Headacheylom is always full now.

Time for the What-I-Did-This-Weekend post!

I started out my Friday evening with wrapping up my Wings of the Goddess Mission Static! Now we’re all set to start the new missions when they come out and access the new areas! The final fight got a little tough towards the end and I died due to a stoneskin accident, but we were able to salvage the fight and get the win.

After the fight, Carste and I set out to cap our BLM buffers in anticipation of the new level cap… sadly we weren’t the only ones with this idea, and the majority of the camps were full. We were able to camp some Dahaks though, and kill Wamoura Princes.. sadly we got sloppy and got killed by one of the Dahaks. On our way back to the camp, we saw the pudding camp was pretty empty so we blew stuff up there for a while.

I was finally able to get enough coins for my Loquacious Earring. I’m unsure if I want to fulltime it on BLM, or swap in my other INT+1 MP+8.. I’ll probably sell the earring and fulltime the Loquacious. The Loquacious is something I’ve been needing for my WHM for a long time. 30MP + Fastcast = Hot.

Saturday night I went over to my friend Roy’s house (Marvolo) to play with him. We were going to work on getting Touchstone, himself and myself our AF for RDM’s… We spent about a hour farming The Eldieme Necropolis Coffer keys (2 of them) and took forever finding the coffer.. When we did finally find it, I decided to let Touchstone open it first since I could come back down here and find it myself later.. Turns out Touchstone had the BLM hands quest active, and opening the coffer on RDM did nothing for him except give him 6k gil. Lots of wasted time, but these things happen, especially in this game where the names of some quests are so similar. I would be lying if I said I’d never done anything like that. Shout-out to Sjoidjgo (falk) for his patience in helping us with these coffer keys, Thanks man.

After the failed coffer, we decided it was time to take a break before Marvolo and Touchstone canceled their content ID’s. After they got their urge to play again, I set up a exp pt for Marv’s THF, Touchstone’s WHM, and my PLD. Touchstone ended up leaving early to go home but Marv and I stayed until we got our levels.

I went back the next day to The Eldieme Necropolis and got my AF hands after tracking down the coffer.

Did a couple (5) Kirin’s with AbsolutePerfection. These guys really know what they’re doing.

Did a failed Nyzul run.

Went up to Ru’Aun Gardens with Midgetking to help him kill the Eraser to augment a Warewolf belt… but we failed due to Eraser having Additional effect Silence when he hit us. We got pretty close (1 more nuke) but we both got silenced and neither of us had echo’s and we couldn’t kite it long enough to let the effect wear off. Felt bad about this, since I assured him I would be able to solo it for him. I’ll buy him another Warewolf Belt. I should have had echo drops with me.

Since I had some Imperial Standing again, I joined a ISNM 3000 run and won another Khroma ore! I think that makes me 3/6-7? I’ll have to look back at my posts and see.

After my ISNM, Absolute Perfection was gathering for Jailer of Faith and I was asked to WHM, so I geared up, and grabbed this off the AH so I could keep people alive better with my Barstonra.

I went to upper jeuno and got the pop item’s from Cloudxz’s mule, and went to sea to wait. Just about the moment I got there Cloud says /l we’re not doing faith anymore. And he logs out…. Weird? Maybe a emergency. Hopefully nothing bad.

Tuesday night was Dynamis.. Holy fucking shit Drama Drama Drama. We were supposed to enter Dynamis – Beaucedine, but we the zone stolen by 2 different linkshells. So we opted to go enter Jeuno, since it appeared to be empty tonight per the qcdn.org scheduling board, but when we got there, a JP shell was gathering, so we all hopped on the airship and headed for San’d Oria. We entered 45mins later than usual, so I couldn’t stay 2/3 of the run as I usually do, but I did win my first 100c!

Hellllo 1.5mil, and it sold in 2 days… Sadly though, just like I do every time I get paid on something, I find a dumb way to spend it… and here’s what I blew 200k on…

Yes that’s right, I’m feeding my dirty WHM melee addiction. Blowww me.

Bummed about Elvaan base INT, I logged in last night and decided to force Athoz into helping me do a Valley of Sorrows Augment NM so I could try to get a better Igqira Weskit. We had never duo’d this NM, so I geared WHM/RDM and Athoz got on this THF/NIN. The first pop (Athoz’s) was rough. The NM had attack speed +a lot and I couldn’t land Slow without Elemental seal, and Athoz was having a hard time keeping shadows up, even with haste.. Eventually I ran out of MP and Athoz had to Perfect Dodge to avoid dying while I rested my mp. We killed it, and Athoz got a crappy AGI+3 augment on Igqira Weskit… but I got…..

INT + 4. Fuck yes. I’m not sure if this makes this piece better than Genie Weskit (HQ Igqira) or about the same, but I’m glad to have it.

I AFK’d to go see my girlfriend (She still hates you steve) and when I got back I decided it was time to start capping my exp on my 75 jobs so i put together a merit pt with Zerayla using her character Xean to BRD for us. I went WHM, picked up some DD’s and a COR. FUCK THAT COR UGH UGH SIGH UGH SIGH. He was /whm and thought it was OK to just sit there and do his cor rolls and toss occasional erases. He wasn’t ranged attacking at ALL! I know some decent Corsairs who deal 600-1k weapon skills from their guns, but this guy just sat on his ass and ate the 20k/hr exp which could have been 24/25k/hr if he wasn’t such a lazy ass. I told him /p {Corsair} {Ranged Attack} {Can I have it} to which he replied that he wasn’t going to, and said goodbye and he disbanded. Stupid fucking JP players getting butthurt so easily. Ughhhh

After my merit pt, I went and grabbed my “Official soulplate” or whatever it’s called. The thing you use to fight other mobs in The Colosseum where I met this guy. We chatted for a hr and exchanged numbers. We’re going out to dinner on Tuesday… not really (Stop getting jealous roy) we did talk about ZNM though. He had never done any of them so I explained how they worked to him and he said he was really interested in doing them, so I might help him out with them eventually. Pretty nice guy. Also I broke 1k Jettons, and I can finally stop using my imperial standing to obtain jettons.

Been a few days since my last update. Let me tell you what’s happened!

RED MAGE! I’ve taken RDM to level 55 as of right now and I still have a lot of EXP rings to use, so expect to see lots of gear-hoarding when I get slightly closer to 75 (And then 99)

My two real-life friends who got me into this game 5 years ago (might be 6 years) have finally returned! Marvolo and Touchstone (Screenshots later of their Tarutaru cuteness!) Strange they should choose now to return. I say this because: Marvolo’s highest job is RDM. Touchstone’s highest job is RDM… and I’m currently leveling RDM.. So we’ll get to trio together! I have a feeling that I’ll quickly pass them, but we’ll be able to sync to whoever is lower and still play together! We all need our AF stuff, so we'll be working on that together. It won't be so bad since I have a few 75's which I can use to help farm coffer keys.

RDM AF: Lets break it down.

AF hat: Awesome for nuking and curing for added Fast Cast!

Extremely useful for it's additional 15 Enfeebling skill and it's auto-refresh (1mp/3seconds). Sadly, this piece is only obtainable through Dynamis, which a lot of casual players don't attend.

I was duoing with Sjoidjgo and I noticed something. A Taru’s base INT is more than my base INT+gear INT combined. Which is dumb. UghElvaan. His nukes were consistently doing 30~ more damage than mine, and I have merits.
I don't plan on duo/trioing my way to 75. I plan on trying to find a pt once I reach the level to party at Aht Urghan areas so I can earn Imperial Standing instead of conquest point.. (unless I can find a duo/trio manaburn camp at Aht Urghan areas)

PLD! Well this job is sorta on the back burner at the moment, but I did get a chance to level it with Marvolo and Touchstone last night at Quifim Island! I kept outclaiming a stupid galka at the worm camp and we moved to Pugil Alley and got a few levels. Sadly I forgot my laptop at home so no screenshots today :(

I’ve had an exciting last couple of days, but haven’t really had anything to write about since everything sort of pales in comparison to 6manning Sarameya… But here it goes

The day after our Sarameya, Sjoidjgo and I started farming more zeni and another pop set. We quickly burned through Brass Borer and 2 Anataboga’s (well, the Ana’s weren’t quick on account of we kept getting slept and charmed.) Elden came out to help us, but he died sorta quickly on the Ana’s and just stayed in town for fear of deleveling.

Did another ISNM. No khroma ore. Blahhh.

I’ve recently joined an endgame event shell called AbsolutePerfection. I’ve only been to 2 runs so far, but I’ve really enjoyed doing things rather than sitting around Whitegate. The first night I joined the shell, they were just wrapping up a week-long WOTG mission zerg, and I got to help on a couple of missions that I had previously done with my SOTW static. Pretty glad Carste forced me into doing these missions.

My 2nd night in the shell was sky farming and gods! We killed a few NM’s for farming, and then went up to Byakko and killed him quickly. Drops were alright.

They let me have the A. Head for my Zenith Crown which I’ll use for WHM and HP push down gear once I get sorcerer’s ring. Cool beans.

After the sky runs, I swapped back into SOTW to hear that the Nyzul Static that a few of the members are pariticipating in did boss floors and got 2/3 Askar bodies! That’s pretty damn impressive and thought it warranted a spot on the blog. Congrats Vass and Shortie!

Well.. Where to begin? My friend from real life (Yes, I have those) finally came back to FFXI. He introduced me to the game a long time ago. His name is Marvolo. When he quit FFXI for the second time, I took his account and pretty much cleaned him out. He didn’t have a whole lot, but when he came back I gave him 300k to start out and bought him some gear. I was over at his house when he first logged in again, and he still had a linkshell with people in it who remembered him, which was cool. Just so Marv could get a feel for the game again, I built a level 20 party for him at Qufim Island and invited his LS mates. I had never heard of any of the people in that linkshell, but everyone in that shell knew my name, and what jobs I had leveled… Weird much? (inb4 Mr. popular) Marv was on PUP, and the party lasted about a hour before I had to go home to do my WOTG static.. and we wiped to the ghosts that spawn at the pond…

Marvolo has RDM55 but doesn’t want to level it so he’s picking up THF. Hopefully I can level PLD or DNC with him.

Did ISNM3000, won another Khroma Ore. That brings me to 2/5 on ISNM runs.

I helped Athoz kill the Augment NM Eraser in Sky so he could attempt to augment his Thunder Ring that he had bought. We popped the NM, and it had shadows up, which scared us at first because we both thought he was immune to magic, lol. He got pwned with his augment.

That same afternoon I helped Athoz get started on his VNM journey. Ok, so not entirely true. I was using Athoz to help me pop Lamprey Lord so I could solo him. We got Athoz his Colorful Abyssite and we traveled to Pashhow Marshlands and were unable to pop Lamprey, and kept popping Shaggoth. Someone must have gone through and killed him recently because we couldn’t find him anywhere. Regardless, we both died horrible deaths and gave up on that for the time being.

This is the part of the post that everyone is skipping to. My 6man Sarameya kill. Based on Kaeko’s www.Kanican.livejournal.com post, I assembled my team, and after much canceling and rescheduling, we finally got together and traveled to Mount Z to kill the 3 headed bastard dog. This part will be very screenshot heavy.

Our fights took 38minutes and 30minutes, and we popped twice. There was no deaths and since we were prepared it was an easy fight. Carste parsed our fights and we were pretty neck and neck as far as damage is concerned. 49%/51% -52%/48% I think. I don’t quite recall any ‘OHSHIT’ moments, except for when Sabene wandered in to do songs for us and got lolslammed by Gates of Hades for about 90% health (twice).
Just a side note. Xean was being played by Zerayla, who was our RDM. So while we had TH4 on the mob, Xean didn't DD, and just tagged it, so he isn't really counted in the equation. If anything, he is gimping us because having Xean online was causing Zerayla to lag a bit.

Didn't get as many in the 2nd fight. Sorry.
We got some –ok- drops. Nothing really that’s going to make us rich. I did pick up a Oracle’s robe… Good for… Hmp? When everything has sold from our 2 pops, we’ll have just over 2mil to split I believe.
Well, that win pumped everyone up. We all agreed that if we could farm more pops, we would fight it again, so right after we warped out, I got on BLM and started farming more Zeni. I got to 3k before I was full on inventory and had to wait at least 45mins before Sanraku would accept more plates, so I joined a nyzul 80 run hoping for Goliard…no luck.

Did a Merit pt to get some Imperial Standing, and some merits to use on… mp? I’m running out of things to put them in! Better get some more 75’s.

Upgraded my Inventory from 70 to 75.

Upgraded my Mog Locker to 50.

Sandy got the Throne Room again, which means Allied Ring is available once more, so I’m burning the charges on mine so I can get a new one. I teamed up Sjoidjgo again to get some exp on Red Mage. I used Allied ring and Emperor Ring and went from 43-46 in just 2 hours. After a while, I had to afk, but Sjoi offered to keep killing with me as level sync, because he could solo and the exp was still good, so I was happy. Thanks Sjoidjgo for leeching me to 46! As a gift of my gratitude, here is a screenshot of us that you can hang on your refrigerator.

And last night: Dynamis-Windurst! FINALLY! We had 25 people show up for the run and to help me and Sadistic get the win so we could attend Northlands for the rest of our lives. My main lot was BLM, but 3 pairs of SAM droped and 1 went freelot, so I picked up a pair of Saotome Haidate. We had 4-5 100cc’s drop, and month end bonus was handed out, and I got about 200k.

Rather than get a party on RDM last night, Falk and I joined together to nuke the crap out of stuff. We started in The Temple of UGH at a camp by the zone. This went pretty smoothly, and took me from 41-42. After I leveled, we moved to West Sarutabaruta [S] for a goblin pet camp at H-8 that works out well with 2 players at 42 or 41. Got to level 43, and Sjoidjgo dinged 66, so it doesn't seem i'll be able to catch up with him if we continue leveling together XD. Here's some sreenshots from our night.

Onedarkflame the Red Mage… wait what? Red Mage?! That’s right! I’ve decided to level RDM while leveling PLD. The reasons for this are simple.

1. Sword Skill. RDM and PLD both use swords so I might as well level them both.

2. Solo capabilities. I find myself with less and less people to play with these days, so it would be nice to be able to accomplish things on my own, or at least try. (:

3. I enjoyed WHM to 75, so I think I’ll also enjoy RDM. Also, a lot of my WHM and BLM gear can transition into RDM so it won’t be so horrible on inventory.

I’d made this decision a few months ago, and leveled my RDM from 37 to 39 in an East Ronfaure [s] party. After that, I really didn’t touch it much since I was still working 24/7 to improve my BLM. Recently however, after talking with Falk, I decided to pick it back up and try and catch up with his RDM, which is in the 60’s, which kinda puts PLD on the backburner, but I’ll be leveling that whenever I can.

I tried my hand at RDM solo for a little bit, but it was clear that my gear and current sword skill were rather inadequate and I ended up having to sleep things and run away. After the failed solo, I put together a Crawlers Nest party which lasted for a little under 2 hours. It was a decent party, and only had 2 deaths.

Funny story about the deaths though. I was level 39 and our WHM died, and I started doing /shouts for someone to get a raise, when the whm says “Doesn’t RDM get raise at 38?” … why yes, yes it does. I had no idea lol. So I raised the WHM, and the party kept going.
I got Convert and Refresh in the same hour, and that was awesome! Things really started moving after refresh since I had invited a BLU who was self skillchaining and I was Magic bursting off him (for loldamage). After I dinged 42(I think) the pt disbanded and I stayed in Crawler’s nest to solo some bee’s near the entrance. They weren’t particularly difficult to kill, but my sword skill was so terrible that it took 14mins for me to kill just one. I killed 4 of them just to level my sword and got about 13 levels on it. It’s still pretty far from cap though.

After my RDM spree, I afk’d and did random things until it was rather late. I was getting ready to go to bed when Buckeyespud logged in. He had been wanting to kill Aquarius for the axe he drops and hadn’t been having any luck getting him to pop recently, so I geared up DDWHM and headed to The Boyahda tree to help him out. We weren’t killing crabs for more than 20mins before the NM popped. Buckey claimed it and started hitting it, and I started buffing us, and quickly took hate. Buckey was able to take hate back with a sneak attack, but after I casted haste on him, Aquarius came over and beat me to death. I RR’d and got up all my necessary things so I wouldn’t die again, and started backline healing with my 300mp pool. I was taking quite a lot of hate, even though I wasn’t really doing much, and even though my WHM gear has –eminty on it. We killed Aquarius in 10minutes and Buckeyespud got his drop. Good for him, bedtime for me.

Did another Omega on Tuesday and got paid from gear-buyers. Actually, the guy who bought from us gave us a 1mil tip. This gil was divided between members. We each got roughly 450k, which was just about the amount that I paid for all the coins for my Brutal Earring, so I was nearly back up to 2mil.

After Omega, I jumped back on PLD and Carste came with me to Valkrum Dunes to PL me through a page before Dynamis. After he left, I ended up getting a party and got a few levels.

The next day, I got a party on PLD in Batallia Downs [S] at a mandy camp that I’d never been to before. It was a breeze with Sigil Refresh/Regen, even while still under the effect of the Jack-O-Lantern I had ate the night before. This party brought my PLD to 25.

After the exp pt I decided it was time to start trying to actually get some gear from Nyzul Isle that I needed. I sat in Whitegate to wait for some /shouts for nyzul, and I joined one, setting my lot as Goliard. We went through the floors with about 2 minutes to spare and killed the boss with ease…and OMG GOLIARD DROP… but wait.. A hat? I had been under the impression I had joined a floor 80, but I had actually joined a floor 100. Anyway, I beat the 1 other person and walked away with my new Goliard hat. Useful for Stoneskin, HMP, and curing. Well, It’s not the Goliard body that I wanted, but it’s not horrible to have, and it’s better than getting nothing.

The next day, I’m not sure what I did. All I have record of in my screenshots folder is me helping Elden get some EXP on BLM doing puddings.

On Saturday we did Limbus, NE Apollyon, and Carste came back from lolquitting to run with us and lot chips. The run was quick and successful. Kawa died a few times so we got lots of coins.

After Limbus, I went to Mount Zhalyom with Anderoc to kill puddings so he could test out some gear. We teamed up with a BLM already out there and killed for a little under a hour which helped my buffer a little bit.

My PLD is progressing rather quickly. I formed a late night party for Vepion’s WAR and myself in Yuhtunga Jungle and I went from level 23-25 or 26 or something. I don’t really remember. It was a pretty decent party, and it was the first pt I actually used DEF food, and I couldn’t believe the difference it made.

The next night, I joined another Nyzul shout in order to try to lot on more gear, but we didn’t get any drops. Did kill Serket though, the ??? ring appraised to crap.

After that I went out to help Vepion level his WAR some more by PLing on WHM. There was another WHM already there, so we spent some time curing and devotioning each other. Eventually Hesper got bored and wanted to try to flex his WHM penis muscles by lolmelee. My hexa strike is tha best.

After the Vepion’s pt was over, Vep opened his Mog House to visitors and we got to go inside and play around… well, ok you got me. I spent 10mins chasing Hesper doing /em humps Hesper.

I’ve done a decent amount of playing in the past week or so.. but unfortunately my screenshot button didn’t get a lot of use, so I don’t really remember what I’ve been up to… I’ll start where I remember, and there is a good chance that none of this will be in order. Also, not a lot of screenshots, sorry kiddos.

We’ve done a few limbus runs, and we did 1 Omega, and ended up getting paid off a Homam gear buyer, which was split evenly between those people who were at the Omega fight. The fight went well, and we ended up not having any deaths, and got paid. I don’t quite remember how much we got. The shell leaders (lol) are trying to devise a point system or something to even out the gil for those members who weren’t at the Omega, but did help farm the pop set. It’s a good idea, if they can get one started.

I’ve done 2 Dynamis runs with ROR since my last post. One of the runs was Dynamis – Jeuno. I don’t remember what I was lotting on in this zone, but I didn’t win anything. The other Dynamis we did, was Windurst, or at least it was supposed to be. We got our zone stolen by a rouge shell that doesn’t use the QCDN scheduling threads, so we got forced to do a Sandy run instead, which really fucking sucked, because I needed the win from Windurst in order to attent Northlands for the rest of the month. I think we’re doing some scheduling changing to get our Windurst in before northlands, which would be awesome. Also, the Month End Bouns from the Dynamis shell was a pretty penny, even for someone who only got ½ the full amount. By the time I got my payouts from the Limbus, Dynamis, and the Failnaught that Carste and I sold, I was up to 2Mil gil. High roller. (not really) So I spent some of that gil upgrading certain slots for my Samurai. I’ll talk about that a little later in the post.

I bought the materials for Carste to Synth me a HQ Thunder staff, and sign it. Sadly, all I got was a signed Thunder Staff. This isn’t really relevant information, I just wanted my 3 readers to know that Carste fails.

Not entirely FFXI related, and doing a bit of bragging here. Carste and I were talking on Skype, when we decided to bring Hesper in on the call. We were talking for a little while, when I asked Hesper what his real first name was. When he refused to give it to me, Carste and I (mostly me) went on a internet rampage to find out who Hesper was. He was a self proclaimed “Hermit” and “Didn’t exist on the internet”. Well, 20minutes later, and after he lied to me about everything I asked, I eventually tracked him from his graduating High School in Texas, to Illinois in a small town, and found out his full name, address, phone number, and parent’s names. Even after I found all that out, he wouldn’t admit to it, and we had to trick him into telling us what we wanted to know. So, Hesper, the Fox/Wolf hybrid, I tracked you, and won. Don’t ever assume you’re not on the internet. Because you are. And it’s not that hard to find. This was a hilarious night, and Hesper has never been so uncomfortable in his life. We also found out that Hesper puts his money in a blood bank… (inside joke)

We’ve been continuing with our Wings of the Goddess Mission static, and we’re progressing at quite a rapid pace in my opinion. We’ll be done long before the update rolls around and the new missions/areas will be added. Last week we got a M. Ingot which was a nice free 230k.

In the past week, I’ve gotten 3 item’s I’ve been craving. Allied Ring (exp ring), Patronus ring, and Anniversary Ring. I’m saving the Anniversary ring for BLM once the new level caps come out, I’ll probably use the Allied Ring on DNC or SCH or PLD to help move those faster. The Patronus ring is a quite a good item for me to have, since it can be used for all my jobs in one way or another. (Especially for Samurai tanking in Campaign)

In the past, Spirit of the Wolf LS has done some amazing ZNM fights, and shattered records on some of those fights. We decided, under the guidance of Carste, to farm Sarameya pop sets, and sell items off that ZNM, as they are very profitable. So, after about 2 months of non stop farming and killing, we had 4-5 Sarameya pop sets. Sadly, time after time, we gathered full alliances and threw them at Sarameya, and failed miserably. These losses made SOTW not want to touch ZNM stuff for a long long time. Eventually I was the only remaining person with a Sarameya pop and I’ve had it for quite a long time. Long story short, I’ve done lots of reading and research on Sarameya fights, and I feel that we can successfully lowman him with 6-7 people using a strategy that Kaeko outlines in his blog, and was able to do successfully. I chose my team of 6-7 rather specifically, and have been prepping my Samurai for the fight for quite a while. I’ve built Physical damage reduction gear sets, Fire resist sets, and even taken a merit out of Meditate to lower the timer on Third Eye so that I get hit ever-so-slightly less. I’m getting so picky about my SAM for this fight, I’m even considering using an item that drains 1MP to give VIT +1, which I know is stupid. The only other upgrades I can make for my SAM for this fight would be to get an Arhat’s Jinpachi +1, and a Cassie Earring. (Cassie earring would be used to even out my HP from my TP gear into my Damage reduction. But, sadly, that’s 900k in upgrades for 2 slots that I’ll only use for this fight, so I probably won’t be getting them. Here are the items I’ve gotten in the past few days for the Sarameya Fight.

Just the other night, we went on a Jailer of Faith killing spree, and went 2/3 on the torques.. We even had a special quest appearance…

Updates in this blog are becoming farther and farther apart, due to increase workload at the office, and lack of motivation to try and sift through screenshots and remember what the hell I’ve been up to.

Wednesday – More and more and more Campaign. Ughhh, but it will pay off very soon, I’m going to be getting my Patronus Ring, and if San d’Oria is ever able to take over Northlands, we’ll be able to get a new EXP ring (Allied Ring) that gives insane exp, similar to Empress/Emperor ring. I wonder if I’ll be able to have Emperor AND Allied? Probably not, but that would be sweet. Also on this day, Carste and I continued our Kracken Club BCNM static with nothing to show for it. Here’s some screenshots though.

On Thursday, we formally ended our Lebros Cavern Assault Static, and 4/5 of us finally got our Yigit Crackows!

Finally! Now, I had asked these same members if they would be interested in doing some Sea farming for Obi’s and NM’s so we can further pimp our mages, but I am unsure if it will happen, due to my free time is going to be limited come the next few weeks with my girlfriend coming home from college. I still really like the Sea farming idea, but will have to do some fine tuning to the times we would run. There’s quite a bit that Sea has to offer BLM’s, but with the new updates coming, and new gear/levels, I’m unsure if it would be worth putting all that time and effort into farming those NM’s since we’ll be getting gear pretty soon.

Friday – We continued our WOTG mission static, and were able to hammer out a few fights, and we’re progressing rather quickly. I was a little late getting my cs’s done for the missions, and we started about 10-15 minutes late because of that, but the rest of the night went pretty smoothly, except for this...

That’s right, 65 of them. I accidently dropped them when I meant to drop some crystals to make room in my inventory. So, I called a GM, and it turns out, that you’re only allowed to retrieve a dropped item once in your game career, so I declined the offer to replace them, because although I had spent 2 months saving my coins from Limbus, It was only 450k worth of coins, and I would rather use that GM service on something more valuable that I’m bound to drop in the future. Here is the fun conversation I had with the GM. Sadly, he won’t help us with Sarameya ):

The rest of the night went fairly smooth with the missions, I died a few times, that’s always good, and we accomplished quite a bit, despite poor Zerayla getting aggro 100x in Jugner Forest [s] and dying.

After the static, Carste and I decided to go do some NM’s again, like we used to do before we got burned out. We went and killed Draketrader Zlodgodd, which is ALWAYS a fun fight.

However, resulted in no gil drop, so we made our way to Castle Oztrjoa [s] to fight Suu Xicu the Cantabile, which drops Failnaught (1.5mil). I always enjoy this NM because it’s challenging, and this time, WE GOT DROP! Fuckyeah, getting paid is the BEST. There were a couple times during the fight where it Regened about 25%, but I’m glad we didn’t give up on it. A decent 750k each from that once it sells. I’m gonna be rollin in Gil come May, getting paid from Dynamis, Failnaught, and possibly Limbus. (I should drop ABC’s more often.)

Saturday- Today I did my 2nd ever ISNM with a pickup group, the Puk one. The group with 5/6 Khroma Ores, and I won one. Hot damn! More gil! I put it up on the AH for the going price (440k) and it sold while I was running back to my Mog House.

After the ISNM, I saw a /shout for Soboro GK run, and decided to join it. Sadly, the moron putting it together brought 14+ people, and I didn’t feel like waiting 4 hours to get a Soboro, so I left that rather quickly, even though Falk came out to assist us.

After I left the Soboro run, Falk and I continued our Toredor Ring Static. This time, I had put another merit into Polearm, and used Penta Thrust, and ended the ENM 2 weaponskills short of using a GK, each WS doing 200-300 more damage than Tachi: Jinpu. Sadly, no payout, but always a fun time.

After ENM, I decided I needed some fresh air, and went for a quick run outside, and was surprised how quickly I had to stop and catch my breath. I’ve gotten rather out of shape. It seems the more Onedarkflame progresses, the more Andrew is regressing. Gonna have to fix that pretty soon.

I did some Campaign and other random useless crap until it was time for Limbus. (Oh, I forgot to mention, since I’m such a tard and dropped all my ABC’s, Carste is letting me have all his coins from the runs as long as I pay for his Cosmo Cleanse. What a pal.) We had enough people to dualfarm zones, and the majority party went into SW (I think) and Carste, Zerayla and I went into NW Apollyon. This was a shit load of fun. This is the zone I tried to BLMsolo a few months ago, and failed on the first floor.

The run went pretty smoothly, except for the part where Zer pulled a mob and didn’t see Carste go AFK, and I was looking at another screen and only swapped back in time to watch her die ): . Once we got to Kaiser Behemoth, Carste explained to me how to run opposite each other around the zone, and to nuke when we cross paths to bounce hate. It worked really well until I got killed by Meteor. I’ve really gotta do something about my Inventory space so I can work on a Magic Defense set.

After Limbus, It was time for Zerg-a-palooza. This is an event Vepion set up for the social shell, where we started at one end of Northlands, and worked our way to the other end, killing everything I decided to pull. It was an OK event. I was on BLM, meaning I was on crowd control, and I decided to delegate myself Puller as well, so I spent the night pulling mobs with blind and gravity, and binding or sleeping them near the party. The evening mainly consisted of Vepion or Fizzywig attacking mobs that I had slept, and those mobs chasing me because they weren’t able to take hate with the one hit that they had done to wake the mob, or break bind.

We spent a good portion of the night trying to aggro Greater Amphiptere from the sky, but he just wouldn’t come down for us.. That is until we were in front of the castle dealing with 3-4 demons at a time, but that was OK, We had a NIN tank. (lolfalk). We were able to kill it with just Valkyrion and myself still alive (I think), and we had a pretty much total wipe, and that’s when we ended that event.

Sunday – I logged on and put together a ISNM Jade Sepulcher group together and went to try and make another Khroma Ore drop. This time however, we went 1/6 on drops. Not too bad I guess though. I’m 1/3 on that ISNM. Zerayla has done over 20 runs without a drop, so I don’t feel so bad XD. After the ISNM, I did some more Campaign. Turns out, San d’Oria was able to take Northlands while I slept!! Hot damn! Later in this week I’ll be able to rank up and get Patronus ring and Allied Ring.. I better start saving my points!! I did campaign WHM/NIN for a little, but then had to swap to /blm and go to Attohwa Chasm because the ls was going to do a Rostrum Pumps run, and although I had signed up, I had to bow out due to my grandfather and grandmother being in town and wanting to have dinner. Despite not being able to go, Zerayla offered to log in for me and get my Pumps. I graciously accecpted, but when I got home, it turns out that hardly anyone was able to show up for it and it never got off the ground. I felt bad that I wasn’t able to keep my commitment, but I had a good time with my family.

Wednesday Night was an interesting night for myself. I got invited to a Chigoe burn in Caedarva Mire, which is something I had never heard of before. Turns out, this is a good spot to burn 52-55ish. I got to nuke on BLM for a bit, and then got to change to my 52THF and was the levelsync until we disbanded. I got THF up to 54.

After the Chigoe Burn, I went to level my DNC. No, it’s not going to 75, but I do need it for SAM sub, and it’s been something I’ve been putting off for quite a while. It’s been sitting at level 10. I was able to team up with a couple bst’s who were leveling around me.

Thursday Night: This night consistsed of me doing a bit more DNC leveling. I was able to get it to 13, and then put my flag up in hopes of getting a smn burn invite. After seeking for 40~ minutes, I decided to do something different, and asked a few friends if they would be interested in going to the Valley of Sorrows to do some more augment fights. On my way back to San d’Oria, I got a invite for a smn burn, lol. The leader told me it would be about 40mins before the pull was completed, so I still had time to do the augment fights. So Athoz and Reauland ran up to VOS and quickly popped, and got some shitty augments. Athoz got Water + on his Igqira Weskit I think, and I got some elemental resistance on my Errant Slops. I plan on doing a few more of these very soon.

After the fights, I swapped to DNC and ran out to K-tunnel. Sadly, the leader was slow, and I informed her that I only had a hour and a half before I had to go to assault static, but I never got my chance to burn, which was probably good, since they seemed to be getting shitty pulls anyway.

It was time for another Lebros Cavern static, and I was excited. Since I suck at math, I convinced myself I was getting Yigit tonight, but I was 500~ points short by the end of the night, and everyone else was very close as well. Next week’s run should get all of us Yigit, which, to my understanding, is the best BLM feet that I can get.

Friday Night: I didn’t do much, if I remember correctly. I do remember waking up in the middle of the night and glancing over at my laptop and seeing that people were trying to kill Shaggoth, and wiping epically. So I woke myself up a little and geared WHM and headed out to assist with a kill, since it seemed they needed it lol. We were able to kill Shaggoth, and I got the killshot with Holy.. sadly I was too sleepy to remember to screenshot anything during the fight.

Saturday: Did not log in.

Sunday: Logged in around 7PM, just in time to do a ENM with Sjoidjgo. Sadly, no payout, so I went afk until I decided it was time to do some Campaign, and I teamed up with Athoz, geared WHM/NIN, and went out to battle. I did 3-4 battles, and got around 4k exp, but was unable to rank up. I’ll have to work on that tonight, because I’m getting close to my Patronus ring.

In other news, I officially quit my 1st Dynamis linkshell, and am now a full ROR member. Fuck yeah.

Tonight I hope to perhaps do an augment fight in VOS, rank up in campaign, perhaps do a BCNM run with Carste (I think I might have enough seals for an orb too), and if at all possible, SMN burn my DNC. I also need to do some Genbu farming in the near future. Been a while...

It’s been a while since my last post. Things have gotten pretty busy at the office, so I’ll try and recap what I’ve done lately.

On Tuesday last week, I was just standing around in Whitegate waiting for Limbus time so I would have something to do, when Exodusamphi, who was mining in Mount Zhayolm, mentioned in /l that a group was killing Cerberus. I quickly ran out to the spot where they were killing it, to watch the fight. I learned a little bit about how to kill it, and also got the TOD, which I supplied to our LS. I didn’t think we would actually kill it, or get claim even for that matter, but if we had gotten enough people interested, it would have been a pretty nice payout if we could have killed it. We never did though.

Finally it was time for Limbus. This was going to my first Ultima! Sorta exciting. This was actually the first Ultima for a lot of people in the Limbus shell I’m in. It went pretty well. We won. And Zerayla won a nice piece of gear. Here’s some shots!

Thursday, Athoz and I decided to try and do some farming in Bostaunieux Oubliette on Manes. We waited for quite a while for him to pop, but he never did. Then it was time for Lebros Cavern Assault Static! We’re getting close to our goals of Yigit!

After the static, I joined a group forming in /shout that was killing Shaggoth and Lamprey Lord. Yes, I’m still after my earring! Unfortunately, the whole group was Japanese, so I didn’t understand anything. We killed Shaggoth/Lamprey 2x each, but no drops. ):

Lately I’ve been heavy on the Campaign, trying to max my rank out. I’ve been toying with WHM/NIN, which is producing the same results as SAM/WHM, and it’s a little more fun, lol.

Recently I joined a floor 20 Nyzul run that some LS members were putting together, they were the easiest floors I’ve ever done, and I got to see my first piece of Nyzul gear drop in close to 50 runs. Sadly, it was Denali, and of no use to me.

While I’m writing this, I’m not sure if Carste got this message, so I’ll put it here, I think he reads all this junk… Sanriku is wanting to buy Homam Gambieras for 2mil if you were still looking for buyers for the shell.

Last night was my first Limbus run I’ve ever been WHM to. Sadly, we were a little shorthanded, and the fights in my zone took a little longer than they should, and I ran out of mp, and everyone died. Lol.

After Limbus, I went to Dynamis- Bastok with RidersOfRohan. I really like running with this shell a lot more than the CigaretteSmugglers shell I’ve been with recently. We had a shit load of SCH drops, and Athoz got some new BLM pants which he can’t even wear yet lol.

Big post time >.< Been pretty busy at work so the posts are coming in slower. My hours got reduced, and my workload doubled, so less free time lol.

Friday ended up being a fairly productive evening for me. Carste and I continued our pointless Kraken Club BCNM static. We pop whenever we get 60 seals. This time, I had 60. This BCNM is a pretty easy duo on BLM’s, and is a lot of fun. Sadly though, we’re not millions richer. Not to worry though, I think we have another pop to do still.

After the BCNM, I helped Carste level his WAR by PL’ing him in Beaucedine Glacier for a bit while we waited for our first night of the Wings of the Goddess mission static to begin!!

We headed to Garlaige Citadel [s] for the first fight of the static, where we went as Zerayla (DRG), Hesper (SCH), Carste (BLM), me (BLM) and owned the fight. After doing some CS’s and some farming of items we were off to Jugner Forest [s] for our 2nd NM for the night, which we also wrecked. Carste swapped to NIN, Zer to leetSAM, Hesper to RDM and I swapped to WHM and took this down too easily. We ended the static run with that. Sadly (well, not sadly) I won’t be able to join them again for the next 2 weekends because I’m going to be visiting my girlfriend at college because she has a Honor Society banquet and awards ceremony. I won’t mind if the static continues without me, but if they do I’ll bend over backwards to catch up. I want to have these missions done, but also don’t want to hold up everyone else. After the static, there was a Royal Ramble KSNM run that had been organized in the LS. Someone hadn’t been able to make the time so I offered to sub in as WHM, and got to bring a orb as well. The runs went off without a hitch.

At this point, I thought Vepion had managed to pull a ton of hate and got smacked really hard, but actually he used role reversal, lolpup.

Well, I can’t say without a hitch.. on my run, I somehow managed to have a full inventory when my O. Ingot dropped. Apparently I had been obtaining items other people didn’t want from their runs. Thankfully, Janko had been funny and lotted against me on my ingot, so he obtained it when I couldn’t. He found the situation hilarious and quickly returned it to me after I sorted my inventory. Janko actually had quite a nice treasure pool as well.

After the run I went to bed.

On Saturday I decided to try and augment my Rainbow cape to have something worthwhile on it, so I recruited Zaross and Shortietink to assist me in my quest to obtain Magic Attack Bonus +9. We traveled to the Valley of Sorrows and I got my chapter and popped Skahnowa, the turtle. The thing with this NM is, that it is sometimes immune to certain things, and sometimes has a blaze spike that has 100% paralyzing effect.. And the first time we popped this, we got that paralyzing effect. Zaross was on PLD/DNC and shortie came on DRG and I was on WHM. I ran out of MP trying to paralyna both of them and Zross ended up dying, but Shortietink was able to kill it and I got a augment on my cape… Earth resistance +13…. Grrreat. I said /p Earth resistance. How useless. Shortietink also popped the turtle using beastmen seals to gain EXP.

After the Valley of Sorrows run, I ran as fast as I could to Ifrit’s Cauldron to help Anderoc kill Opo-opo’s on Firesday which he’s killing for the Magian quest or whatever. It was rather hard to do on SAM since I don’t have /dnc leveled. I ended up having to /heal a few times during the hour, but I think overall he and I killed quite a few more than he would have been able to kill solo. I don’t get the opportunity to help Anderoc very often, and he is constantly helping everyone else who needs it, so it was nice to be able to do that for a change.

After I was done with Anderoc, I got a tell from my friend Kawanomu, asking for my help doing a Rostrum Pumps run that he had set up on QCDN.org. He didn’t get as many people to show up that signed up on the fourm. While waiting to pop, my friend Athoz signed on and asked what I was doing, and told him and he decided to come play with us :D. He came on THF and saved me a few times from getting killed. It took quite a long time for everyone to gather and to recruit a few more people, but once the fights started getting under way, it was lots of fun, and was good first hand experience fighting this NM, since I plan on getting my own pop set and popping it with Sabene at some point since she and I are wanting the pumps. This NM spawn is interesting, because once you trade the pop item to the ???, an Antlion will pop and it spawns other Antlions, and you have to kill them, and feed the first Antlion TP in hopes of it popping the NM you need to kill to get the Rostrum Pumps. This NM spawns Stonega spells… and guess who got a earth resistance cape today?! Haha! FUCK YOU SQUARE ENIX, I WIN AGAIN! It didn’t make that big of a difference in my damage taken from the spells, but it did help a little, and the irony was funny. This was a really fun NM to do on WHM, and I assume it would be fun on BLM too. The only thing that was crappy about this run was the eliteist RDM. He was such a douchebag and it took a lot of self control and a lot of venting to Athoz to keep me from ripping his head off and letting him die every time he took hate. Never doing anything with his obnoxious ass again.

I went AFK for a little while after the Rostrum pops, and came back just in time to do Limbus! I usually have a pretty good time in Limbus, and this run was no exception. Here’s some random screenshots.

After Limbus, it was finally time, for the LS DIVINE MIGHT run! We’ve had a lot of members needing this (including myself) so we finally set a date and buckled down and got some wins! Very well led and very well fought. We did have 1 wipe on the first run, but that was to be expected. This was probably one of the coolest BCNM zones I’ve been in so far, and I took a ton of screenshots, so here they are!

Run 2

We had a bunch of funny deaths, and good killshots. This fight wasn’t as hard as I thought it was going to be. We won and I got my Bushinomimi for my SAM. Finally, I can sell my Minstrel’s earring.

To celebrate the success of another LS event, Carste, Sjoidjgo, Zerayla, Vepion, Sethidus and I went out for a hot merit pt. Carste, Zer and myself went Polarm Samurai, Vepion was on COR, Sethiduz was on BRD, and Sjoidjgo was on WHM/SCH. This was a shit load of fun, and I got to skillup my polearm, and was actually doing pretty decent damage even though I was pretty far under cap. Carste got a screenshot of me doing 1300~ damage on Penta Thrust :D.

After the merit pt, regardless that it was 3AM, I went to help falk with a MMM NM, which was something I had never done before. The Buggard ran at flee speeds at all time, and was pretty fun to fight, although I died. After the fight, I logged off and went to bed.

The next day (Sunday) I logged in and joined a manaburn pt with Athoz, Fieryblizzard, Sjoidjgo, and some other people who were seeking for pt. It lasted for about 2hrs and we ended up getting ~16k exp.

During the burn, Sjoidjgo and I were talking about possibly doing a Summoner burn later in the day, but we were both unsure of our PC’s capabilities and didn’t know if we would lag out during/after the pull and holding the mobs, so he and I went to the Maze of Shakhrami to do some testing and see how hard it would be to pull things. The test runs went really well, and Sjoidjgo and I learned quite a bit.

After our testing, I ran to help Timwakefield and Exodusamphi kill Ungur. Easy fight, but it was fun.

Came back just in time to be late to lolDynamis-Bastok! Run was pretty boring except for me getting the win… AND THESE!! Gear on my 2nd run, not too shabby.

I left immediately after the run was over to go to Mount Zhalyom to test the new legs out on puddings since Iceday was coming up, and I could double up new gear (Ice obi + Sorcerer’s tonban) Here are some fun results from Iceday. I got invited to a party while I was up there and also got Hailstorm for more damage. FUN FUN FUN!

And finally, last night (Monday).

Last night comprised of a few things that I didn’t plan on doing, but was still lots of fun! When I logged in, I ran out to Mount Zhalyom to kill Flan with Anderoc since he needed them for Magian quest. He had a full pt of JP players with him, lol. Carste joined us shortly after, and we killed a bunch during Firesday. After, we went up to Ru’Aun Gardens to kill Eraser, the augment NM for Carste and Anderoc. After they both popped their NM, we decided to to some tab farming on the Groundskeepers… and very very quickly popped Despot! Holy hell! We brought him down to the pond to kite and nuke… And I died, very quickly, but not before getting off 3-4 nukes and a Bio II.. I eventually died again after RR, and just Hp’d so that I wouldn’t have to wait for weakness to wear if I had to kite it if Anderoc and Carste both died. Thankfully, they didn’t, and they were able to kill it as I was running back to them. We went back to our tabs farming, when Halley shows up. Remember Halley from a few weeks ago? That asshole who kept killing my exp mobs in Xacarbard [s] that I MPK’d twice? Turns out she’s camping Despot, the one that we killed 20mins ago, and she doesn’t remember me at all, which is good, because now I get to fuck with her and make her waste her time. Here’s a screenshot of the /tells she and I exchanged.

So we finished our tabs farming, and left the zone. I checked a hour later, and Halley was still camping Despot. Sweet sweet revenge. I campaigned until I went to bed to continue my quest towards max medals (again).

PLD

Last night, I geared up PLD at level 10, and headed to Valkurm Dunes to level! I haven't been in the dunes in nearly a whole year. At first, I was really happy to be there. I had never minded the dunes too much, while a lot of people hated it.. but that quickly changed for me last night. I hate the dunes now. It's full of people soloing and duoing, and it's nearly impossible to get exp in a party now. Luckily I was the level 10 {Level sync} target, and i popped an Exp ring and we were able to burn through 10-12 rather quickly.

We burned through the lizards in about 45mins, and moved to the goblin camp not so far off. We also burned through those in a half hour and ended up having to move camp again to the cliff camp to pull crabs, but there was a party already there, so we moved down to the beach to fight the crabs. After we killed 2 of them, it was quite clear that the crabs were nowhere to be found, and that there must have been someone killing all of them. I'm pretty sure we were able to fight random things until I hit level 13, and then one member had to go to Limbus, so we invited a level 10 BRD and were able to go back to the lizard camp. We were able to get the brd to 11 before people started needing to go, and I hit level 14 :). I know Sabene has DRK at 14 that she wants to level/smnburn so I'm going to talk to her to see if she wants to duo/level/burn our way to at least sub level, at which point I'm sure she'll want to stop leveling it. lol. By the looks of things, it's going to get burned.

I went to Sea and did some farming with Xean(Zerayla) and Vepion for a short time trying to get HQ Eqhievi organs for more Jailer of Faith pops. I was also lotting the normal quality ones because I still need them for my Relaxing Earring. We got 3(I think) HQ organs and 2 regular ones in the short time we were there. Eventually Vepion had to go to Dynamis or something so it ended up just being me and Xean. Things were a bit rough at first, mainly because I didn't remember my WHM macros since it had been so long since I played on it, so Xean died a few times. Luckily, since I was so used to being on BLM, I was able to keep things slept and kite them around a little while Xean unweakened and could kill them for me. :)

After Sea farming, Zerayla and I rushed to Port Jeuno because it was time for LIMBUSSSSS. It was a rather short run, and netted 3 coins each, and found out a little bit about Carste that I could have been better off not knowing....

The next day I did some Campaign so I could rank up and get closer to cap rank. While campaigning, I decided to check QCDN to see if there was a Dynamis shell running Windurst that night. My plan was to beg them to let me run with them so I could get the Windurst win so I could quit the Dynamis shell I'm in now and join RidersOfRohan (the shell that has my friends in it). Luckily there was a shell that was supposed to be doing Windurst, but unluckly, the zone got stolen from them and they did Bastok instead.
After not being able to do Dynamis-Windurst, I decided to warp to Sandy to run with ROR for some fun and to hang out with my friends. It was a lot of fun, regardless that it took 3 hours, and I liked it much better than running with that other shell I'm a part of.

This is the awesome pull that wiped us. I was laughing histarically.

Over the weekend and last night, I didn't really play a whole lot. I was able to login for the Jailer of Faith pops (well at least some of them). This involved me dying, A LOT. I burned though a whole reraise earring that night. Sadly, I was unable to stay online for all the pops, but I did hear that Zerayla was able to net herself a Faith Torque, so Congrats to her! :)

The remainder of my time spent online has been mostly in Campaign, and trying to find people who are killing VNMs so I can try to get my hands on some new gear, because not a ton of people in SOTW are up to the task of tackleing these NM's yet.

I've also been trying to net myself a Khroma Ore from Mount Zhayolm, as I am pretty broke at this point. I think I'll take an afternoon and go through all my gear and sell some stuff off, because i've got 30~ slots in my mog house that I can get rid of and make some gil at the same time.

I've been wanting to level PLD, but I can never seem to find enough people to put a party together, and I haven't really been in the mood to solo.

Tonight I plan on going up to Sea, and doing some Organ/faith farming with Zerayla and her TH4 mule.

I've been looking to switch to a different Dynamis shell then the one I just recently joined. I'd rather play with my friends then these random people.

Not a whole lot to update here... So... Maybe more to come tomorrow? :)
